if it were me i would get an e4300 or 4400 since the price isnt that much more than the 21xx. u also might want to check out the gskill memory that is on sale on newegg. dont know how it compares the kingston. but u can get 2gigs for 65. i have it and its great memory so far.
i just installed my new DFI LP UT P35 T2R motherboard along with 4 gigs of gskill memory. in vista x64 it only shows 3.25gigs. anybody have any solutions to this? i tried reinstalling the memory and vista and that didnt work. here's my system specs-

that is a decent oc. much more and it will be fast but u wont be able to tell a difference. i oc'd an e6850 to 4 ghz and mine at 3ghz seemed just as fast. i may not have been doing things that i could tell a difference, but unless u are doing video editing u probly wont notice. then u would...
yea i can put the sticks of memory where ever i want. but when i fill all the slots is when i have a problem. i can put all 4 in and boot and run xp but i think that is because xp only see's 3gb. the memory im using is supposedly the g.skill that has problems with this board. but all the sticks...
well i have a p6n sli-fi and i overclocked an e6750 to 3.8 on air. they are pretty much the same board. so u should be able to do 3.2 pretty easy. even on stock volts u should be able to get there. if your only gonna go 3.2 why dont u go for something a little cheaper like e6550 or e4400?
hey i have a problem. right now i have 2gb of ram. last night i tried to put another 2 in. but i failed. lol. it will boot with 3 but when i put the 4 stick i get a black screen. i have already tested all for sticks and they all work. any suggestions would be great. oh i also tried bios 2.2 and...
yes i do understand that. u will not see a differenct between the 2 cards unless u are running extremely high resolutions. anything up to 1680x1050 and u should be fine. above that u may want to go for the 1gb card.
you guys really need to search the interweb. there are newer reviews out for the 2900xt which i have. that show it coming in just slightly ahead of a 640mb 8800 and a gtx. even beating gtx's a in a few benches. i switched from sli 7800gt's and i love my 2900xt.
second question- in my bios i have my memory set to 800mhz. how come if it is oc'd its not higher than 400mhz. i know u multiply that x2. but its only 394mhz?
hey guys i've got a p6n sli-fi and e4300 oc to 3ghz. cpuz says my fsb:dram ratio is 11:13. is that bad or does it just mean my memory is oc'd? here is exactly what cpuz says-
