I have 2x5870 in xfire. The only time that I switched drivers was to use the one (11.4 ?) that gave the 5 series xfire ability for Skyrim. Done playing Skyrim and went back to the 10.2's.
Very good review. This was one of my choices I was considering on my recent case buy. I have a Mountain Mods U2-UFO that I used for about 6 years. Great case, but I needed more room on my desktop (literal), and I wanted something giant that I could set on the floor. I opted for the Black Ultra...
.....yeah, not as excited as I once was if this is the entire lineup. Suppose that the i7 parts will be $$$. Found this with i7 parts, no prices.

OK, how do we revert back to before this patch? I've got slideshows in the cities now, and ram usage up to 5 of my 6 gigs (from about 3 before). My E8400 and 5870's can't handle this evidently. Was much better before, and I really don't notice that much difference.
I waited to buy Skyrim just because of drivers ( 2 x 5870 ). I think it was the 12.1's I had to wait for, because the previous ones didn't include the 5 series for xfire. AMD has been getting so much better as of late, then they blow it again. I'm not dealing with it any more when it comes to...
Got the H70 for xmas, and I really like it so far. Only negative that I have found is that the tubing is STIFF. My rig idles at 30c and has never gone over 50 w/Orthos running for 30 mins. Unlike [H]'s review, I have my fans blowing out. I don't have a top exhaust (working on that). I had a TRUE...
I'm done with purpose built pc speakers. I have the Pro Media 5.1's (almost 15 years old, on wife's pc). On my rig, I use a Sony 60 watt receiver (literally 20 years old now) and run that to 2 Cerwin Vega! and 2 Polk Audio bookshelf speakers. Plenty loud for me. Only drawback is no 5.1 surround...
I thought that once you hit 16x12 in gaming, it becomes GPU bound. That's always been my struggle w/upgrading. My thought is that I want a 27" monitor with my 5870.
