So they never did this before and i've had the system for almost a year. Could it just be wear on them?
This whole problem has been going on for about 5 days now. Any reason it would start now?
Well I have 2 sticks of 1gb for a total of 2gb. I don't want to buy new RAM unless I have to. So you think I should take one out and see if it works? Then try the other one the same way?
Should I do that first or memtest86 first?
Also, does this even sound like a memory issue?
So after the computer has been on for a while it seems to freeze. Usually around a day, but it differs every time.
The mouse works, I can talk on AIM, I can right click on the desktop... but when I try to open IE, winamp, notepad, wmplayer, or any type of program it just sits there. I try to...
This is a totally new build, totally new hard drive, totally new install of XP with an immediate update to SP2.
I'm just gonna get a refund for the Patriot RAM, try some Kingston HyperX and if that doesn't work, then I know for sure its not the RAM.
I'm gonna guess the graphics card can't...
Ok, so I'm still getting the same problem with my games not loading all the way. For some reason they just open to a certain point and then never work. Since i've got the RAM timings set as they should be, should I be concerned that its the motherboard giving me problems with loading games?
So i'm wanting to upgrade my computer speakers. I want something that will totally blow me away. I was thinking, why not hook up some really nice home theater speakers? I'd also be watching tv and playing games on a new 40 inch samsung lcd, so it'd be my computer/home entertainment system all in...
It has been at 2.2v the entire time since I set it manually the second I got my computer together. It's never been undervolted since the voltage has been where its needed to be. I also checked in CPU-Z and everything seems where it needs to be.

So why would it only fail to load the game after the computer has been on for a prolonged period of time? And the game "loads" to a certain point where it freezes and lags like crazy until I have to close it.
As for the voltage, I put it up to 2.2 the day I got it so it should've been...
I seemed to have narrowed down my problem. My computer, after being on for a while, won't load games. The games just freeze and I have to ctrl alt delete to get out and end the process. I called ASUS and they said it wasn't the motherboard, but probably the RAM. I upped the voltage from 1.8...
I don't really know how to say whats wrong, but it seems that everytime my computer has been on for more than a day (considering i can't really make a specific time of how long it has to be on for this to happen) my computer ends up not working in what seems to be fullscreen mode.
