Kimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Every case should have USB ports. Nice concept so far though.

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

I just went to order some accessories and am only being given the option of USPS shipping to Australia. If the parts are coming from TW like the actual case did, can we get TW Air as a shipping option?

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Yep - I was using the wrong set of screws. The PSU is fine.

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Ok this is awkward - I think I used the "G" screws. They are smaller than the "F" screws, so perhaps the screw hole threads are not stripped after all... I'll check again tonight and confirm.

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

My SST-SX600-G is from the very first batch that was sent to Australia. I unpacked it for the first time last night, and when I went to install it in my M1 I proceeded to strip the threads on 3 out of the 6 screw holes in the PSU casing. I barely tightened the screws, and they just began to spin...

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

Trying to purchase some accessories (top panels, clips) from the site, but the shipping options drop-down menu in the checkout is empty and won't let me proceed.

    Jonsbo UMX1 build

Ah yep, that makes sense. I'm thinking about how to build in my soon-to-arrive UMX2 - I bought an mATX board because I was worried about the bottom case fans interfering with motherboard connectors/cables.

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

Yep, this is what I've been waiting for as well.

    Jonsbo UMX1 build

Nice! Won't the curved side panels conflict with the bottom fans that are now externally located?

NCASE M1: a crowdfunded Mini-ITX case (updates in first post)

As long as there are no impurities in the cloth (dirt or other debris), a microfiber cloth is probably your best bet for removing fngerprints. I use one on all my PC and hifi gear.

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

For me it's the enhanced power delivery circuitry on the ROG boards that's most attractive - I get peace of mind knowing that my boards are built as well as they can be with the best components available. Having said that, the ASUS Z97 channel boards (e.g. Z97I-PLUS) aren't bad in this regard -...

    Asus ROG Maximus VII Impact

This needs to hurry up and be released. I saw some new articles on tech sites yesterday, so hopefully that means a hard launch is imminent... I bet there's a bunch of other NCASE M1 v2 owners who are just starting to receive their cases and the Silverstone 600W SFX PSU who'd love to build...

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Hmm - I just got email confirmation that my order has shipped, including the PSU!? Sounds like PCCG need to get their stock/inventory system in order :P

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

Yeah, I was keeping tabs on their website and it went from "pre-order" status to "in stock" a few days ago, then back to "pre-order" for a few hours and then back to "in stock". I ordered when it was still "in stock" last night but someone else must have completed their order + payment before...

Don't be fooled by the Australian date format (DD/MM/YYYY).

    Silverstone SST-SX600-G 600w Gold SFX

I ordered one from PCCG last night while it was showing as in stock, then received the following email this morning: "This is a courtesy email to advise that your SilverStone SX600-G SFX Modular 600W Power Supply is expected to arrive at our warehouse on the 05/09/2014." The item is now...

    Building your own ZFS fileserver

There's plenty of the E350 boards available, it's just the ASUS one that doesn't seem to exist. Newegg have it, but they don't ship to OZ. I haven't seen a single other store list it for sale. Not even on ebay.

    Building your own ZFS fileserver

Ah yes, the ASUS Zacate board. Looks great on paper, but will cost a fortune and doesn't seem to exist yet. I can't find anywhere that sells it, and it's only on Newegg sporadically. They don't ship electronic goods to OZ either.

    Building your own ZFS fileserver

Gotchya. You guys are a great help. Last few questions for now: 1) I was planning to use one of the new AMD Zacate m-ITX boards. Most of them only have 4 SATA3 ports, and I'll need at least 6. For raidz2, I'm presuming it'll be ok to run 4 disks from the mobo ports and the other 2 from a HBA...

    Building your own ZFS fileserver

Fair enough. What about the reliability side of things? Will USB flash memory degrade fast enough to potentially cause a problem?

    Building your own ZFS fileserver

I'm about to purchase hardware to build a 6 x 2TB ZFS raidz2 file server, and I've got a question about running FreeBSD on a USB memory stick. Does the speed of the memory stick make a difference to the performance of the operating system (in terms of r/w)? The m-ITX mobo I'm likely getting...

    prime95 FATAL ERROR... Need Help

Hi, I'm having the same problem with prime95, except that i'm using orthos. I can run small FFTs for 3hrs+ but large FFTs (and blend) fail after 5sec, and i get the same error message, but no freeze. This suggests that there's somehing wrong with the RAM i think. I'll run memtest on the...

    Stability Problems

Hi guys, I recently built a rig (specs in my sig) and have been stress testing at stock settings. I've run SuperPi 1.5, SiSoft Sandra and EVEREST (memory benchmarks) before, they were all fine. However today i installed ORTHOS (dual core) and tried to run the blend test. It failed after 5...
