Hey guys havent posted in a while but mom needs a rig and im way to busy with work projects to even have 5 min to my life
1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing?
general computing.. facebook paying bills, some games... i.e. facebook games.. bejewled majong...
Ya seriously... $344 and I dont have to touch it? Perfect upgrade for my.child.. Id go with it... But like everyone else... Iffy on tge stock psu and adding a.gpu
Anand just did a very nice write up/comparison on ssd's id give that a loom to get the differences... But as tir mentioned that ssd is faster tgan any mechanical drive
Going.with what danny posted and ur current parts ur futureproof for bulldozer since tge parts danny mentioned will all work on bulldozer... The only thing if u end up getting her a bd.board and proc is the gpu isnt the most recent... However all will work
+1 for ssd.... Getting my first ssd felt like when I got my first discrete gpu as far as change in performance... 7 seconds to a usable desktop = amazing.... Nm the load times of games
Dont worry about the questions... Thats half the reason were here... As far as the tim I had alot of tuniq tx 2 left over from my best friends build so I used that..
You could problably squeze a i5 2500k build with $750.. start getting some parts togetger on newegg and see what u can do with some good combo deals... Id post some parts but on my cell right now.. Im sure someone will post a build.for u soon..
Def a p67 board, 4 gigs of ram minimum, a 650w psu...
Lots of space cable management... Added 1 fan other than the stock fans and my cooling is excelent.. As far as the reader most are 3.5 however most.come with the adapter .... Im on my cell right now so cant really link... But look up my threads about 2 weeks ago I posted my rig... U will see...
My p8p67 pro did exactly that when cold.booting if I was running it overclocked on my 2600k.. Without the overclock it wouldnt do it... With the new bios 1606 it no longer does that when overclocked
Kinda hard to explain... And most people dont thonl about this when they post about air versus liquid... But the simple way to explain it is that its alot harder to change the temp of a liquod than it is of air in a way... Not the perfect explanation I know... But the higher in temp u go the...
Def will see a world of difference especially in encoding.... Problably half the time.. I would suggest posting thishaving it.moved to general hardware as these are the types of question those guys deal with on a daily basis.. Danny bui and tiraides (problably spelled theyre user names wrong)...
I heard this answer to the z68 question over h/p 67 on another forum... And its problably the best way to explain it simply... Instead of saying "its the best of.both worlds" as the saying goes... Its both worlds combined with a few extras (ssd caching)
Dunno if it.matter im def team green... But f I was to choose again I would go witg the amd option this season.... Wasnt on the boards much when I built my last system
No modding.needed to test it and see what happens... Load up crysis... Get some. Heavy load on the cards... Take the door off
Put a household fan there and see if ur temps drop.... If they drop... Then u know that airflow to thw cards is an issue
If they dont drop then u know airflow is not an issue
