yes im aware of that, thats why i been spamming/checking their monitor page everyday for the past month. And i only seen the 2709 for 599 for one day back in the beginning of the month... When was this "the other day"? And their price always seemed to be ending with a 99, so either 699 or 599...
wow thanks for the reply, that was very helpful. I was a little scared because some people seem to be freaking out cuz of the input lag, some even said they can't even get use to the mouse because of the delay.... But since you use this for professional video editing, i think i will be fine...
quick question for anyone who owns the monitor. I'm currently very tempted to grab this monitor, but sometimes i do some casual movie editing, and music to image sync is very important to me. Now i've read there is lag with the monitor, would that affect my ability to sync the music while making...
awesome, I will stick to this PSU until my i7 build sometimes later this year then. I'll have to get a new psu anyways since it will be a new comp.
Thanks for the replies!
kool thanks for the quick answers guys. I really didn't want to spend an extra 300CAD on the 1000w for the hdd upgrade. But ya i guess i don't have to worry about that now.
Just another question, is it true that its best to run your power supply at 50% usage at all time?
Hey guys, my current build is the following:
core2quad q6600
4gb ram
gtx260
8600gt (for my third monitor)
2x500gb and 1x250gb hdd
corsair HX620w
Now, i am currently planning to add two WD 640 AAKs and raid them for a OS/program drive. Also planning to add another 1tb drive in the...
dude, how much of a delay would that transfer to real life time when we are talking about the speed that the "arm" on the hdd moves?...
100mb/s read speed transfers to like a few seconds during actual use, unless you are EXTREMELY anal about ur hdd speed i doubt you will notice any difference...
so... the overall effect isn't that noticeable at all? im currently using seagate.11 500gb one and has average read speed of 68mb/s. I may not upgrade at all if i won't even notice that much difference.
just a question, when you do trade up, does they minus the actual price you paid for your card, or just the BFG store price for the current card you have?
forget nvidia, amd is killing intel as well.

Intel Possibly to Lose Money in Q1 After 21 Years of Profitability
Although it could just be the...
"It retains its value better" lmfao. Comparing a computer with a car has gotta be the dumbest comparisons i have heard in a while. A computer has its use, either for game or work, and THATS IT. A car, on the other hand, is used for driving, but also shows STATUS. A lawyer will not drive a 10...
sorry, it wasn't meant for flaming, but i literally thought u were joking and thought it would be fun to post up some ridiculous setup and watch peoples reactions.
First of all, like everyone else said, drop the extreme chip and get a 920
Then get some more hdd space and don't wait on...
is this guy even serious? it seems like someone who have absolutely no idea about computers just went on newegg and picked out the most expansive parts, then put a computer together from that.
Hey guys, i was wondering if bfg have a step up program like evga?? My local ncix has bfg gtx 260 on sale for 200$ CA right now... Im wondering if i should just grab it now or wait for the 55nm, if theres a step up like evga, i might as well just grab that now and have the option of upgrading to...
man im in a tough spot right now, i can either pick up the bfg 260 oc at 590mhz for 199$ CA sale price, or should i wait for this card to come out and possibly even lower price for the 260 and 280s. What do you guys think??
i might be wrong but my understanding is that, if you want three separate monitors, for example to play games on one, while the other two displays your desktop, then the 4850x2 is good. But if you want your game to span across all three monitors and play the game at some ridiculous resolution...
i was having the question as you, after doing a bit of research, i found out that the saphire 4850x2 card can support up to 4 monitors.
And to your answer your question, no they don't have to be the same cards since they are not going be SLi or crossfired.
hmm i didn't know it would make that much of a difference, maybe i should upgrade to cs4 soon. Btw, is cs4 backward compatible?cuz all my school computers still have cs3 and they are not upgrading anytime soon...
