I love AMD for their socket designs and enthusiast friendly stance. As well as their history of being the underdog and offering a great computing power to dollar ratio.

I wished Sears would not have tried to be Amazon-esque. They used to be easy to find products and see if they were available locally, now it's very hard to do that.
Tried Opera a few times years ago but could never could get past the page layout/rendering errors on a lot of the websites I visited, so I gave up on it as a browser..
Still waiting for 3G from AT&T here, also still have over a year of contract left before being able to switch. Mainly stayed with AT&T the last few years because of the rollover minutes. Finally got 3G in a neighboring town in late December but still a few miles away. Had some AT&T workers...
I want Windows 8 to have the same layout of the Control Panel and various other settings that Windows XP has. They added more clicks and complicated a lot simple tasks when they re-arranged a lot of things in Vista and carried the bad layout right on over to Windows 7. And yes, I am still using...
Turns out it's a moot point. Foxconn has a setting for mem freq but all that is available auto and 800mhz and the auto freq defaults to 800mhz. Although there is all kinds of timing settings available when SPD is disabled. Thanks again.
The cpu is at stock speed. I haven't been messing much lately with setting the speeds/dividers etc., I have just been pairing 800mhz cpu's with ddr2 667mhz ram and it has worked well. This is my first experience with ddr3 and it just seems to be taking sooo much longer to complete a pass of...
Have an Intel G41 Foxconn motherboard with an Intel e5400 800mhz cpu and 2gb DC Kingston DDR3 1066mhz memory.
What is the best way to set up the bus speeds/timings to achieve optimum performance at stock?
Right now the ram is synced to the cpu @ 800mhz with 6-6-6-15 timings and it is...
The Gigabyte G31 was defective, so I changed my mind and have decided to just go with an Intel branded G41 motherboard, using it for the video and retiring the X550.
Thanks for the replies.
I've got an older pc(amd sempron s754) that has developed boot problems(I went through the usual troubleshooting steps, including replacing some parts, like the psu, etc.) and determined the motherboard is on its way out after three years or so of use(it's a TUL brand). So I have a Gigabyte G31...
I wish they would fix the "allow all passwords to be saved" bug(every time FF updates since 3, I lose the ability to save my PayPal PW). It is aggravating to keep having to add // manually to sections of the nsloginmanager.js file every time FF updates itself so I can save all passwords. I think...
reminds me of the family guy episode where chris the artist dates kate moss(and she is blown out the window and falls through a crack in the floor). :D
I just did a fresh install of XP SP3 and no matter what tips I've tried from googling this(registry edits included) the most frequently used programs area on the start menu remains empty. :(
