He said going through cloud flares dns is faster, which I kind of agree with. I do not have a cloudflare account, it seems as if he does and my website would be under his acxount. He offered to give me my own login to manage the dns, but I'm just really concerned about his abilities to now...
Hi all!
I'm a bit concerned. I hired a guy (Who came highly recommended in one of my reddit communities) to boost the speed of my website and do some tweaks to make it load faster and provide better ratings. He's based out of Turkey, not that it matters, but it's already red flagged my credit...
I thought that.. but it's unmanaged and at the moment I don't have any vlans. I also am pretty sure it has nothing to do with the switch.. its doing it hard wired from the jack directly to the TV and it still does it
Okay... its definitely not the switch.. I did a bone head move last night... when I connected the TV directly to the jack, I didnt realize the TV picked up wifi and even though I was hardwired.. the TV was still using WiFi.. so i disabled wifi and then connected the TV directly to the jack and...
I'll give this a shot, I'm starting to wonder if this is due to new security protocols they implemented in their new update. I did however change it to not requiring a secure connection and it didn't do anything unfortunately (but yea, I do want it to be a secure connection).
I haven't done that yet, but I did try to manually force the TV to use a IP that was open on my dhcp lease range, still the same issue. I'll give that a shot when I get home to try.
I had the IPTV off during testing, so it can't be it. The weird thing about all of this is that I can see the damn TV in dhcp leases.. It listed as "Local Host" which is odd, but its there. It connects to the internet fine, but it will not connect to my local Plex server at all.. It's almost...
I have a iptv box in that same switch.
I did test the cable, used several different ones
I did try this, it works fine, it seems to only happen when the switch gets involved.
Thanks for the quick response
So this is one that I've been banging my head against the wall for hours. I can usually figure things out through research, this however, I cannot find anything.
The Quick Version:
Plex works on wifi on the Samsung TV app fine, when I connect to a TP-Link TL-SG105 unmanaged switch, it will...
You guys are awesome!! I'm researching everything you guys are saying so I understand more. I think I'm going to buy that on ebay.. I'll keep you guys posted throughout the process.
Yes this is what I think I'm going to do. I was going to go with:
(2) UAP-AC-Pro's
POE Switch (I'm thinking going with a Unifi 24 port POE)
*Cloud Key*- If I'm correct, this is what I'll manage my network with? i.e. my admin dashboard?
I need to find some kind of firewall, I heard people say...
Here's what I'd *like* to do:
Build a custom Rack Mountable pfsense machine. The use of pfsense would be basic/moderate network admin use. For wireless, i'd like to build a mesh network (like google wifi, eero, etc).
Where to begin?:
It's my understanding that *mesh* is actually a protocol...
I did as well, but my email address is 100% correct.I also got a PM directly to me, so I'm wondering if its a system issue. I believe I had an old email address on here that I changed a while back, so I'm wondering if it's picking that up.
Believe it or not, I actually just returned my Vizio P65. It had really bad banding issues and I called vizio and they sent a replacement and assured me they would make sure this one was perfect. The delivery guys stopped yesterday and we turned it on and the one guy said "Wow what's that Shadow...
Thanks for the tests.. I hope they fix this, I really love my p65. I don't think I'll swap it out either way because it truly is an all around great monitor for the price.
I'm wondering if a firmware update will fix this or if this is a hardware limitation. It's really odd that Vizio would state its 4:4:4 and in all reality it's not.
I have the 2016 65" P Series and I absolutely love it. There's a new firmware update that a friend said resolves the 4:4:4 chroma issue, but I haven't updated yet because I lost my thumb drive. I'll report back when I do.
In all honesty, for $2k, there's nothing that I could find, after doing...
It was time consuming, but fairly easy! I purchased Vinyl Wrap on ebay (60" x 60" GUNMETAL BRUSHED ALUMINUM VINYL WRAP PRO GRADE BUBBLE FREE AIR RELEASE), I would highly recommend going with 3M DI-NOC (I believe they have new stuff called 1080, I think either would work fine), I went the cheap...
Personally, I will never go with DXRacer again. Not too comfortable for big guys (I'm 6'2, 260lbs). The only thing I really like are the materials and the ability to completely recline.
Just uploaded a video (Sorry for the quality, just wanted to get something up) of my setup. Very unique as its a open setup (Desk isn't against a wall). Let me know what you guys think!!
I use it daily for BF4, it's great. The only thing that sucks (Game Glitch) is that during the loading screen, the chat is cut off a little.. Everything is fine during gameplay.
Look man, I don't need to justify my work and I'm not going to argue with you. I simply stated that it was an opinion, because I have never encountered an issue before. Maybe I'll do a tutorial on youtube of some of my logos and show off the new screen, then people can make their own opinion.
This chat I'm seeing about the curve causing distortions and not good for graphic/web designers is 100% an opinion. I've been using this monitor for both graphic and web design and I absolutely love it. I don't even understand the logic of a customer coming into your office and being confused...
I'm completely revamping my setup. I have two aluminum monitor stands coming in, another razer mouse pad coming in for the other side, etc. I've also started today on the cable management side as well.
Nice setup, mine is eerily similar. I have the same mouse pad, same keyboard and mouse and same green theme. What is that green box lit up right above your mouse?
Thanks!!
