I got dell 2007wfp and its a ips panel , its bright. How can I test banding issues with dvi. Any one has recomended settings for color calibration

Noticed few things about the monitor :- a) When the pc turns off, the monitor shows red , green , blue on the screen. b) goes into dvi power save mode , anyway to disable it. c)back light bleeding is there anyway to fix it other than that monitor is pretty bright pip works great. Overall...

so what brand of panel S-IPS panel is LG or samsung, I want to do few more tests to check bad pixels, ghosting , test dvi, I am going to keep this after I do all the tests and hope nothing is wrong with this one. Any suggestions on how to do different tests and also calibrate the monitor.

I have narrowed down to these three monitors samsung 204bw and 205bw whats the difference between these two, L204WT and dell ultrasharp 2007wfp.

well samsung and lg are little cheaper than dell . Dell is close to 400 vs acer I can get 22" for that price. as for location I am in northeast. I am trying to get best for my money thats all.

any reason you went with dell instead of samsung or acer, isn't dell already offering 20% for things over $499.
