On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

It says in the original post if you bother to read it, he’s using the latest versions. Did you even read it or you just post to try and troll someone and get some cheap entertainment? The reason why Internet forums are useless nowadays and nobody takes them seriously.

On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

Trying to help out is shit posting? What kind of fucked up reality do you have behind that computer screen? So let me get this straight. I can’t get frustrated because the guy obviously has no freakin clue what my answer was, but acts like he knows that I am wrong. It’s like wtf...fuck this guy...

On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

Unbelievable, I just tried to help him out because nobody else answered him, then I get shit for people not understanding the answer. You really expect him to re-compile these programs with an updated Kernel as a solution and say I am so unforgiving saying just delete the program and find...

On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

Just find what program on the Boot CD is using the outdated Linux driver. Delete it and your problem is solved.

On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

    No, on the Realtek adapter.

On board Ethernet got disabled by a bootable utilities disc

haha...yes, this is the cause of a setflag in the hardware driver being set wrong by one of the programs in the bootable CD. The windows driver when they programmed it probably had an assumption the hardware flag would be set at a certain value, depending on the code it would disable the port or...

Kudos to ASUS phone support (yeah, really)

You don't understand. This is simply not just unhappy customers because Asus could have done better. No, it's much more than that. It's illegal what Asus does and any self respecting person that is not a corporate drone should not stand for it. But sadly consumers on the internet would rather...

28, and they didn’t start selling directly to consumers until around 1997.

Kudos to ASUS phone support (yeah, really)

Like most Asus employees, you're not being honest. Considering Asus hasn't even been a company for 30 years.

    Asus, never again.

Better head tracking with on-board USB 3.0?

As someone who does image quality for a living. The screen door effect, viewing angles and blur on VR, not to mention the smaller resolution, jpeg compression should be the least of anyones worries.

Kudos to ASUS phone support (yeah, really)

So he basically just filled out this form for you: https://cms-am.asus.com/ecp/Rma.html Yeah, great job. Asus surely deserves praise for that. /s Just wait, you haven't played the entire Asus roulette game yet. Just an FYI, they don't "fix" the boards, they swap them with boards other...

2 budget gpus for better multitasking?

Well it’s correct information, just not in the proper context. So like every other human being you will meet in your life (and I feel sorry for each and every one of them..lol) I’m not perfect and never claimed to be. But please keep being a jerk and not understanding how to treat people. It...

2 budget gpus for better multitasking?

So you’re just looking to fight with me because you think my post wasn’t good enough for your standards? Are you the internet police here to make sure all posts are approved by you?. Good luck with that...lol That is so sad. Please and I mean this sincerely, find something better to do with...

2 budget gpus for better multitasking?

Why reply if you’re not even helping the thread topic and just want to be a jerk? I thought he was talking about SLI then he edited it, ok if it’s not helpful then no big deal. Why even bother to post about it? Seems like you really need better priorities in life...lol
  17. B

2 budget gpus for better multitasking?

No, I don’t think a 1030 can SLI. Lowest card that can do sli (in that generation) is the 1070.

Asus not releasing spectre fix for x99

Well after dealing in depth with Asus and their "insert acronym here team" (the people that actually write the code for Asus products) this sentence puts you about 40 IQ points above anyone at Asus. I would honestly trust someone on this board before trusting any clown working at Asus Corp...

Better head tracking with on-board USB 3.0?

I switched around ports on my rift from USB 2 to 3. Besides rift saying its USB 3 I didn’t really notice a difference.

    Insane Asus RMA Story (Misunderstanding)

If they did swap the board with the same serial number (which is easy enough to do after a reflash) that’s the definition of a warranty scam. Don’t let them get away with it.

    Insane Asus RMA Story (Misunderstanding)

It never is. They say they “repair” these boards but they never do. They swap them and I am not sure they even check them first. Just play the Asus roulette game. It’s unbelievable.

    Insane Asus RMA Story (Misunderstanding)

I would not wish Asus RMA on my worst enemy, what a nightmare they are. Asus never again. Anyaways I been through this “process” as well. They seemed to respond to better business bureau complaints. I threatened to take them to small claims court and said to the bastards I’ll waste as much of...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

OK! In fairness to Intel, and for anyone reading this through google searches etc... They did send me a new processor and I received it today. Old one on the way back to them, with a 500 charge on my card saying they will refund when they get the old processor back. So that's reasonable. Took...

Is the ASUS RMA Process Legit?

My recent experience with Asus RMA. I sent them a motherboard for warranty replacement. Not only did they not repair or replace it, they refused warranty because a button on the back(plastic button) was slightly on an angle. Unbelievable. Then when the motherboard gets back to me they broke the...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Oh really, what was the name of the representative you dealt with? Maybe I can ask for them, as all I get are an obvious call center were english is not their first language and a promise of a callback that never happens. Feel free to PM if you wish.

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Been through this previously, go read that. Are people too lazy to even read previous posts now?....lol Repeating myself, the ram speed is set in the bios....simple......default speed is 2133. With optimized defaults. I don't want to go into the irony of forum users who overclock that will...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Did you even read anything I wrote? Said I never overclocked the ram or CPU. I DO have 3200 ram that ran at 2133 default. But I am curious, why would a person like you want a company like Intel to make more money by screwing me over? A normal consumer that builds computers the odd time? Are...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Oh it's that simple? Attach it to what? say RMA to who? I don't think you are understanding that list is supported XMP profiles....not warranty.
  30. B

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

The ram modules I used (which is the first post here) IS on that list... Also that list is not "these components only or your warranty is void", it's for embedded XMP profiles. Which I have stated MULTIPLE times now I didn't even use and the ram was clocked to the default speed of 2133. It's...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

I am curious, do you doubt that is not from an Intel customer support employee? Try giving their support a call, see who answers. They promised me a call back from a manager in an hour, it’s the next day now, never got a callback. I don’t understand how anyone can condone treating costumers...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

I never said either way because the "k" processors are designed to be overclocked. So to me Intel giving that reason (that nobody knows if this is even the case at this point) should be known to others, as it's basically an easy way out of standing behind their product. It rubs me the wrong way.

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Thank you, I hope so too.
  34. B

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

The cpu does not set the ram memory speed. The bios does. Even XMP profiles have to be loaded by the user. At least on my board. Which was never overclocked.
  35. B

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

Why be like that? Ignoring the obvious trolling or lack of social skills... If you did know that this is regulated by the motherboard, then you would know that saying " When using ram that runs at a higher frequency than 2400 you technically "overclock" the memory controller. " is wrong...

Intel RMA does this sound right to you?

You do realize the motherboard controls the ram speed, right?

howdy everyone, So I am trying to RMA a 6800k i7, for some reason intel is saying that my Gskill ripjaw this ram here: https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16d-16gvk Is incomparable with my cpu and burned out the memory controller? What? Building computers for over 15 years now, this...

    Fractal Design Official Hardware Rep

I have a Fractal R5 now, that I built for a workstation, I love it. I only used 2 ssd's in the case so I removed ALL the hard drive cages and the top 5.25 cage for airflow. Now I am looking to build a NAS system that can hold as many hard drives as possible. Question is: Can I place the hard...
