Yeah thanks to all you HardOCPers who participated. I did get what I was looking for to pay the bills. I only ended up having to sell the GPU's and Power Supply in order to do so. I had no idea that this post could initiate such a debate among people. My original question was for more items...
Hey HardOCPers I have to make some money to pay bills due to some instability in my working environment as of late. Please let me know if you think these items are not in the correct pricing range.

I'm not raising the prices on any of the items guys...I'll let the market determine what the price should be and/or whether my initial prices are fair or not. I based the minimum price based on what I was seeing similar items or the exact items selling for on ebay and other sales sites. My hope...

weird Dan I stayed on 12.4 for a long time not upgrading until 12.6 and 12.7 came out and have experienced no issues other than finding a hydravision version that works with 12.7. Might take a look next time I reload my OS but that's usually a year in before I feel the need to put myself...
Are you trying to match brightness between monitors? If so about the only option you really have is something like the Eye1Display2 colorimeter. Something cheaper like say the Huey pro will help you match color gamma between monitors but not luminosity.
hmm weird the 12.7's work perfectly for me. Then again I did a driver sweep(latest free version, since it has now gone paid under another name). I had problems moving from two 5870's to two 7970's and the only thing that fixed it was reinstalling windows. I would try that before RMAing the...
not that I know of man, it would have to be a powered device. You could theoretically split the one lane coming out and mirror it across two or more outputs but like I said it would have to be a powered device to run the chip that would do the duplication into double or more lanes that are...
Yeah I'm getting some hard locking here lately but haven't been able to track down what the culprit is. atikmpag.sys is usually what appears on the blue screen but BlueScreenViewer usually points to dxgkrnl.sys. Almost always atikmpag.sys, dxgkrnl.sys, and dxgmms1.sys are listed in pink as the...
no actually the best thing you can do is encrypt material that has no defense/intelligence value. Think of it as a small particle of dirt that gums of the gear works of overreaching government. If they've grown beyond accountability to the people they can still be made to be ineffective in their...
You should be fine I have almost that exact setup except my XFX black edition is complete reference. I haven't had any issues that I could tie down to running different brands. The only thing you might run into is a problem with is using some monitoring software if the cards have different...
These driver still appear to be missing the atipdl64.dll and the atipdlxx.dll. Possible that they moved that functionality elsewhere. Looking at a WinMerge comparison.
The display driver package .dll files are identical
The installer for the display driver package is newer and...
Well I'll give you that his comb over is a bit much but what about him made him "sound a bit like a nutjob" to you? I thought he was very distinct and clear in what he was saying. Was it being critical of the government that made him sound like a nutjob? My point being that there is a lot of...
no, use the DLL's from RC11 as they are the last driver before 12.2(12.3?) that are suited for the Radeon 79xx series. Or just do an upgrade install. I don't do Catalyst upgrade installs because they have caused me problems in the past.
Especially @ 5292x1050 and above AftterBurner is reporting more than 3072 MB VRAM used so maybe...
If the game is in fact streaming content over PCIE bus then PCIE 3 vs 2 could come into play but it remains to be seen whether or not that is actually happening. Not sure if the game is actually...
I'm sticking with RC11 for now. Maybe final 12.3 will be different but there are definitely more numerous long frame times with 12.3. That number only increases as you go up in resolution. The 5292x1050 frame times in particular on the 12.3 driver introduces a second outlier that is above 120...
I'll just copy and paste from my driver comparison
Drivers Used
8.921.2 RC11 with 12.1 Cap 3
12.2 Pre-Certified Driver(Actually reported as 12.3) with 12.1 Cap 3
The 12.2 drivers had the atipdlxx.dll from RC11 copied to to "C:\Windows\SysWOW64", and atipdl64.dll from RC11 copied to...

HydraVision can be installed you just need to make sure that there is a copy of atipdlxx.dll in the Windows\SysWOW64 folder and a copy of atipdl64.dll is in the Windows\System32 folder. I got my files directly out of the RC11 setup extraction location and installed them in safe mode...
I don't overclock so I can't really comment on that portion. But when I look at the installed components under the AMD Catalyst Install Manager I do see the AMD APP SDK runtime. I only ever do clean installs so if that's the SDK your speaking of then it is included in the pre-certified drivers...
I can confirm that the these drivers are indeed missing the atipdlxx.dll.
I removed old drivers did a driver sweeper cleaning in safe mode. I use hydravision it is a must for me with an Eyefinity setup. So I installed these drivers, the 12.1 Cap 3, and the 12.1 Hydravision package. When I...
^
Anyway you asked what you could expect. It depends heavily on if your talking about multi-player or single player. Multi-player is a lot harder on the cards. There are benchmarks over time and graphed from my CF 7970 rig in this thread. I was posting about a bug in the drivers but...
If the system is still under warranty you can always make it Gateway's problem but then you'll be without this pc for a while.
Fist thing you do is not assume that's its anything in particular. I think the guesses above are a good start. Likely causes are
1.) CPU overheating
2.) Memory with...
I'd have to say that two is most definitely not going to be enough to push that many pixels in all games with acceptable performance. I don't know if or how much adding more than two 7970s really going to net you as far as performance I have two pushing 3x24" 19x12 screens and there are...
That does sound odd. Did you recently upgrade the BIOS or run motherboard tools which would have done so for you?
Its possible that this is just a setting in the bios that has been switched on somehow. Conversely make sure you have the latest non-beta bios for your board.
using the drivers from AMD's site along with 11.12 cap 3 Driver is RC11. There are a few video apps that claim to have GPU accelerated features pointed out over on AMD's site though I couldn't tell you if any of them are taking full advantage of the Radeon HD 79xx series
Same configuration on the drivers and caps. The issue only occurs when playing on single panel resolutions in game after launching from Eyefinity desktop. Are you playing at a single monitor resolution in game and getting full use of your cards after launching from an Eyefinity desktop? It...
I see a lot of bitching and complaining and I agree that there should be an official driver by now. What I don't know is how much of the holdup is due to AMD and how much is due to Microsoft's portion of the WHQL certification process. I fully support Kyle going after AMD if they are...
Hardware video encoding works for me in MediaEspresso using 2 x 7970s though it only used a maximum of 81% of one of the 7970's.

What issues are you guys running into that's breaking the experience for you? I have found one issue and notified AMD of it. I did find a workaround for my issue which to be honest should have been found in QA but it's not a serious bug that keeps me from a good experience. I look forward to...
Well could be that you have a color profile that's corrupt or just erroneously set. You should be able to check that it's not just incorrectly set color setting by going into the Catalyst Control Center->My Digital Flat Panels->Display Color and making sure the color and brightness settings are...
First get the latest driver from their site. Then install latest 11.12 cap to be sure which I think is Cap 3. I'm unsure if you can install caps released with newer driver revisions on older driver revisions for example I don't know whether installing the CAPs released for the 12.1 catalysts...
