Its not just Chrome, there are several applications that screw with the windows timer.

You have to get the right one to get AMD dual graphics working and they still haven't gotten all the bugs out of it.

The main reason for getting an APU is getting a cheapo gaming system up an running as fast as possible in a small form factor. There are also some power envelope considerations.

The singly threaded Cinebench does poorer but the multi threaded one does a little better.
