Well I replaced the stand with one from another manufacturer, and the vibrating seems to be reduced but still there. Are 22" widescreens just generally last stable than 17" and 19" 5:4 monitors in general due to size?
EDIT: I also saw another 2207 at the store I bought the stand from and it was...
Removed Vesa cover. Screws appeared to be tight. Tightened them just in case. Monitor still wobbles.
Conclusion: Hp 2207 is defective by design -- the stand just doesn't cut it. Anyone know of any quality replacement stands?
Man this sucks. Do you guys know of any way for me to manually take the stand apart and screw it together tighter or something? I thought this monitor stand could be replaced. :|
EDIT: I found some directions for disassembling the stand. Gonna open this mother up and tighten the screws. Will be...
Yeah, just tried moving the mouse really hard and it definitely shakes a bit. I think I might take this one back and get the LG.
EDIT: Except I am missing the receipt. Shit. Hell I don't think they even gave me one. -_-
Any ideas of how I can fix this myself? Like could I de-assemble the stand...
I dunno. I guess it could be the desk. I sort of doubt it though. Maybe its just b/c I am used to my rock solid 17" LCD monitor which never showed the slightest hint of vibrating.

K. Uploaded a video of it shaking to Youtube. Keep in mind that it shakes much worse in real-life -- the camera didn't pick up the shaking very well and it shakes even worse when I bump into the table or something. Is this normal or is the thing defective?
Hmm... I tried to take a video of the vibrating with a camera but it didn't seem to pick it up. It's a slight vibration sort of, like the monitor is shaking while I type. I don't think the stand is defective, I think the monitor is just too large for the stand.
EDIT: I now have a video of it...
I'm not even typing hard. Two handed typing = my monitor vibrating like jello. Shifting around in my chair slightly = vibrating monitor (and I am pretty thin). How is it even possible to have a defective stand? I mean goddamn, it's just a piece of plastic attached to a monitor.
The specific LG model of the model you have is defective. You want to return the L226WTQ and replace it with a L226WTX or L226WT. Apparently prototype Q has MAJOR ghosting issues -- so bad that it would even affect your photo work IMO.
Table is fine. The problem occurs when I am typing really hard, like I am now. You can see the edge of the monitor vibrating from my keystrokes. When I bump the table a bit the entire screen shakes Do me a favor. Pull the screen down as far as it will go. Put your keyboard maybe half a foot from...
Okay seriously this is ridiculous: How do I get the monitor to stop shaking when I am typing on the keyboard? Do I have to lock something into place or something?
I just went out and bought this monitor and it is the best thing ever. It is HUGE compared to anything I have ever used before and I have never seen such deep blacks and glare is no problem at all. Best monitor ever.
Since manufacturers refuse to list whether or not their products have 1:1 scaling...
Post all the monitors that you know have 1:1 scaling here and how you access it.
Noticed this at Newegg, listed as a "New Arrival". No reviews. Anyone hear anything about it? On paper it is superior to the BenQ 222WH and the Viewsonic VG2230.

Don't know. I tried looking up the manual of LG's support site but couldn't figure out how to turn the dynamic contrast off. If there is no option to turn it off that is a damn good reason not to buy this monitor...
^Perhaps it is your GPU? Maybe there is a panel lottery now? Also make sure to turn off the dynamic contrast thing b/c apparently that can cause ghosting or something.
EDIT: Also the one at CircuitCity looks different than the one Newegg is sellling. Check the two pics out, notice how it...
Couple more questions:
-What is an "adapter that has the option for TOSlink or RCA stereo"?
-Are you sure that I can get 1080P (albeit downscaled to native resolution of course) over VGA regardless of whether of which monitor I choose?
-Do any monitors besides the 2407WFP have the...
Yeah but that is only with ONE monitor. A monitor that costs $700 I might add... I'd rather have a $300 monitor with HDMI.
EDIT: Wait -- are you sure about the VGA cable being able to send 1080P? I thought that was only possible with a select few monitors. Doesn't the monitor itself have to...
... But 1080P over HDMI downscaled to 1680x1050 would still look better than if it were scaled up from 1280x1024 over VGA, right? The whole point is to avoid the whole washed out VGA upscaled crapfest.

What about this little gem? It has an HDMI port, I think it says HDCP, over 300 reviews and 4 stars. And it supports 1080P/I.
EDIT: Actually nevermind, I think this is the one with the ports failing left and right.
Yeah, so I was looking around for a good monitor for the Xbox 360. The first thing I learned is that the only way to go is widescreen, because the Xbox 360 has poor support for 5:4 and 4:3 monitors -- apparently they either end up letterboxed or stretched out. On top of that, it turns out that...
^ Not really, and 900 isn't that low. When people say they have 2000 on the memory clock, they actually have 1000. 1000 is effectively a 2000 MHZ memory clock, which is the number they are using because it is higher.
Well I dunno. I had my card flashed at 600/1325/1925(effective) and I got 10105. Then I changed it to 620/1350/1975(effective), and I got 10331. Then I went and made sure my ram timings were rated correctly and I got 10354. My CPU seems to be stable in Orthos, but I guess I could check it again...
Strange. My rig is technically superior to either of the two above but it only gets 10354. It could be that my GTS core clock is a bit lower than the OPs, but my CPU is 300MHZ faster w/ a larger L2 cache so I have no idea.

Trying to overclocking in Vista x64 via Nvflash. First thing I need to do is backup my VGA BIOS so I can change the settings.
Okay, I manage to burn a bootable DOS cdrom via Nero. I reboot into DOS mode.

Hey, I am trying to use NVflash to back up my videocard BIOS (PNY 8800GTS). I am using Vista x64. How do I do this? I try to run the EXE from command prompt, but it tells me it isn't compatible in Vistax64. Do I need to be running Vista x32 to use NVFLASH, or is there something I am doing wrong...
I was overclocking my P5W DH to 3.6 GHZ, and I couldn't get it stable until I turned the MCH up to 1.75 volts.Whenever it wasn't getting enough power my system would flat out lockup and I would have to manually cut the power to get it back up and running. Is this particularly dangerous, why did...
Alright, so I install Vista x64, try to score it w/ the Windows experience or whatever and everything scores except my GPU and graphics peformance, which stays at 1.0. WHY INTERNET WHY?
