Anyone with 48" c1 knows correct SDR settings?
I am using PC mode, Game optimizer, warm50, gamma 2.2 and oled pixel brightness 30. Rest at default.
watched hdtvtest ps5 recommended settings and he sets (for SDR), oled brightness to 75 and gamma to 1886.
I cannot find setting to nits...
Any idea how to stop C1 (heard same with g1) from changing audio mode to "Game optimizer" on every reboot and hdr windows on/off activation ?!
I am dying having to switch audio profile multiple times a day as optimizer sounds terrible compared to cinema audio.
The only solution I've found is to...
I've tested input lag booster on c1 a bit with demons souls, hdr, hgig, 60fps game mode.
I noticed that "boost" option lowers gamma and makes shadow detail tiny bit more visble. not full out washed out image but for sure goes like from 2.2 to maybe 2.1... or not even that much. it is slight but...
Thank YOu! So I am not completely crazy :)
Btw, 03.11.21 update for 48" C1 just hit and they have not fixed auto sound mode changing still... Every time I reboot my pc or enable win10 hdr, audio preset changes to "game optimizer" and I prefer using "cinema mode".
It's ok on ps5 or when I enable...
with vrr enabled, use vsync ON in nvcp.
It is not the asme vsync as without vrr. wih VRR, vsync takes care of just the tearing and ceiling part.
Disable vsync in games
I am starting to think it's just clouds... but it's hard to tell.
Hey let me know i you happen to ever try it again if you notice it. All other games look fine so it's probably ... bad clouds hdr mastering by sony :P
Anyone treid god of war ? Highlights in the clouds for example are super overblown even at default 50/50 in game settings.
That's with lg c1 on hgig or dtm. no matter.
3rd image is with brightness ingame set to 25
hmmm sounds like it will ONLY work for 60hz content. So for ps5 since most stuff on pc is running with vrr, so it should not engage.
Doubling of frames sounds like it could be troublesome so I think I will avoid it.
But what is also interesting - I wonder how gamma measures at 60hz, 120hz and...
Anyone inspected what BOOST prevent input delay option does really? Does it have any negative effects on VRR or gamma? Or should it only be used at 60hz?
Another c1 quesiton here . I am only using media player classic home cinema with madvr to play movies on pc and the camera panning scenes show visible JUDDER.
But there is no way to reduce it on pc. Gsync and everything is enabled but I don't think it is used by mpc hc. Anyway - either 24 or 30...
Is there a way to check what software blocks screensaver from activating?
I've got it set to blank after 1 minute. It works most of time. Even when I leave a movie paused or yt video.
But sometimes it does not work. But I can't see anything really activated that could block it
What can I do aside from autohide taskbar, minute on 1min rotation and Blank 1 minute screensaver?
-Is there a way to speed up and down the terrible taskbar autohide?
-Is there a way to autohide whole top of chrome (tabs, bookmarks, search bar) and reappear on mouse over or something ?
Yeah, I...
That's good advice and I know it.
If ps5 sets itself to 4k60 (for 60fps game), then maybe if I enable lag booster, screen will run 60fps with 120hz but good gamma ;P
Thanks. So I can do full rgb 120hz on ps5 for games running 60fps? Use input lag boos then or now?
So on C1/C1 the gamma is only correct for 120hz (let's say without vrr so fixed 120hz). If I set pc res or ps5 to 4k60hz, it will have wrong gamme or does the TV have few internal voltage modes for...
The new Resident Evil demo 8 came out and seems a tiny bit washed out. I manage 70-120 fps 4k with HDR so probably vrr gamma is at fault.
I am still thinking what is the best way to play 60fps locked games on pc and ps5 with lg oled. Would it look better if I disabled VRR and left the screen at...
I have a question about the gamma changing with hz on cx/c1.
When I play 60fps locked game on PC, is it better to run it in "120" hz and let freesync/gsync/lfc change hz to 60 or turn 60hz specifically ?
Or run 120hz, turn of freesync and enable half vsync?
And what about the input lag booster...
I've seen some reviews that c1 is a bit brighter than cx (about 100 nits in peak small window and 15 full screen) but I can't find it now.
I've not used any other oled before but c1 is bright enough. At least when I use dynamic tone mapping
I did in fact. The store said I can just return full order and order again (or from another place), so then I give gifts back too. They cannot offer me an exchange for new unit. Only return.
Or I can contact lg at any time and they would swap the panel. If I am to do that, maybe it's better to...
I've ran full pixel refresher once to maybe fix the dead pixel but it didn't do anything.
In the end i think I better chill out. It's not worth to replace it probably... and I would have to give back LG fn7 wireless earbuds which I got as a preorder gift
Still conflicted if I should return my 48" c1 with 2 dead subpixels in 1 pixel... probably not.
Is there any chance full pixel refresh will wake these pixels ?
btw, this is where it is:
Hey, I've been wondering - The Peak Brightness setting seems important but it is greyed out in both SDR and HDR modes when I am in "PC INPUT" on m pc. These are available on ps5 with "console input".
Does that mean that these settings are set to high or off ? What would it do in sdr anyway if am...
anyone figured out how to stop audio preset from changing to "game optimizer preset" every time pc is restarted and gsync detected?
The only solution aside from switching to my preferred preset (music) on each pc restart is do disable gsync in the TV or in Nvidia control panel.. but I love gsync
I would but it's so much hassle to pack the tv back and wait for 2 weeks for money return so I can buy again elsewhere... and then get 3 dead pixels probably.
And the pixel is visible on reds and whites the most.
My buddy is getting the screen on tuesday. I will check pixels on his unit. If he...
I took some more pics of this 1 dead pixel I have on c1.
It appears it's not the whole pixel dead. It's ok on blue or green but dead on red, magenta and white.
So maybe it's red and white sub pixel... no idea, the images I took on primary rtings colors only confuse me :P
I still don't find it...
yes. this is chroma subsampling effect. It's not full rgb in order to acheive 120hz on hdmi 2.0
Btw - anyone with new c1 models yet?
My c1 keeps switching back my audio preset to game optimizer on every tv or pc restart. Super annoying
For sure 4k 27" ips with 150 or 200% scaling in windows.
Look at my older comparison: This is 27" 1080p 100% vs 4k 27" 200% scaling. This way everything is the same size on both.
on which one ? on cx, reviwes said 36 is 120nits
btw -anyone got tips how to use chrome? I already set windows to dark mode, autohide taskbar, 1minute blank screen saver and hide icons. But the bookmarks and top bar in chrome is still the last static element
Ok I got used to the 48" c1. I am keeping it. That 1 dead pixel is ok. I notice it only when I look for it up close on white background.
I got Free 150usd headphones with the tv (lg fn7) so I can let it go :p
Anyway, I only peeled the protection film from front and back today. Hope it did not...
Thanks.
The tv is here and I've been using to a few hours. The picture and motion quality is downright stunning. Fantastic thing. Even sound is good.
I don't know if I will get used to it. I play leaned back. It's fine with controller as I can move back a bit more but with mouse and keyboar...
I know it's an old tired question but my lg 48C1 is coming today.
I always used IPS up to this point, so please help me find what windows and chrome settings to use to avoid burnin. Also TV settings tips would be appreciated.
I know to autohide taskbar and to use black background or randomized...
Cab I join the thread? looking for wireless headphone (dont care about mic) which uses usb dongle to connect to ps4 or pc (ps4 slim dont have optical so that's either controller jack or usb dongle). Hyperx Flight seems like one of best choices right now.
What is so special about that wired AKG...
