My brother had also given me the same advice, as he as a 14'' as well. So, perhaps I will just look for one with a 14'' or smaller screen and have my larger lcd with it.
Thanks
Hey, I will be using this laptop when going to school at suny buffalo for the upcoming fall semester. I have narrowed it down to three and I would like some advice. I basically figured to get a nicer laptop because it would be better than my desktop now, so it's not worth lugging my desktop...
Yea, I guess i should just sell the x850xt with the vf700 and grab a 8800. But my brother told me something about a dx10.1 coming out which will not support 8800s. Have you guys heard anything of this?
Has anyone ever tried this? Do they fit? The reason i ask is because i purchased bioshock and my x850xt is pixel shader 2.0 which is not supported. So i may pick up one of these, but i have just recently purchased the vf700 for my x850xt..so yea.
Oh wow, yes it does, thought maybe it would run though. Well, this sucks, spent 50 on the game and cant play it, plus i just bought a new heatsink for my x850xt. Guess it's time to get that 8800gts 320 i have been looking at.
Hey, i have a pd805 @ 3.2ghz with an x850xt. I installed the game, started it up, and i have no mouse pointer, so i have to meander my way without it and try and click on new game. So I got a new game to start, and it shows the intro video in the mid atlantic, but then after that, when the...
Hey, I have been playing some CS lately and sometimes after any amount of time it will crash out of nowhere, sometimes locking up the whole pc for a reset. I have an x850xt, pd805 @ 3.4ghz w/ stock cooler stable, temps are ok because they look fine i can play bf2142 and other games as long as i...
That Biostar 965pt board on newegg is getting some bad customer reviews from some talking about bad overclocking, bad support, and some hate it...but the one guy is saying it overclocks great...whatever.
Hey guys, my friend is getting a new rig for christmas and he has decided on everything except a mobo. Here are the specs:
E6400 Core 2 Duo
8800gts
2gb crucial ballistix pc2(8000)
and he needs help deciding on a board, he was thinking about this, ASUS P5L-VM
ASUS P5L-VM , but he wants...
Wow, i am very surprised, i wasnt going to even try to overclock it without getting a new heatsink. The toms hardware article says you wont even get to 3ghz with the stock HS under load...they say it crashes. But at my 3.4ghz i was doing fine under load Idles at 33c and under load its 10-15c...
Well, as for the build, it is already built, just want to get a heatsink to overclock. And they say in the article that with the zalman cooler they get to 4.0 ghz stable. Just wondering if anyone knows if the freezer could do it.
Hey guys, i was just reading the article in toms hardware.... http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/05/10/dual_41_ghz_cores/index.html ...and i see they used that zalman cooler. I was wondering if I could use the Arctic Cooling one...like 20 bucks less, and overclock with the temps to 4ghz, like...
Yes, but what i am saying is do you guys really think i should buy a new heatsink for it...would it work just as well as a new heatsink with the stock HS to increase speed by temperature? I think i may upgrade though because my computer is fricken loud...maybe ill pick up a new HS for my PD805...
When i get the RMA replacement one should i buy a new heatsink with it or just increase the fan speed...i mean this thing is hella loud and sounds like it sucks.
Well, today I loaded up the bf2142 demo which i have been playing all week, and i get into a server, and right where it puts you on a team and you are to select a kit, the colors start to distort and it went to the blue screen of death! I had rebooted from there and there was lines in the...
I reccomend the x850xt, thats what i am using and all i play is bf2 on high settings, runs very smoothly, i also have one gig. It runs great. X850XT is great for the price i paid 100 with rebate from newegg, its at 115 i think.
Well, i am coming from the VGA section because of my problem with locking up in games and i am going to try a new PSU. http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1099850 < other thread with my problems... I have narrowed it down to these power supplies...
But, i think first, i am going to try a new PSU...thinking about a xclio goodpower 500w or there is this other one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustRatingReview.asp?Item=N82E16817153023 but im not sure if its and good. Seems like a good deal for 27 bucks.
Well, i was just playing cs 1.6 while monitoring both temp and voltage. I think we can now elminate the temp part because it was staying around 40 deg C and still crashed. On the voltage part, when it crashed the values read...
vcore-1.33v
+3.3-3.23v
+5.0-4.95v
+12.0-11.39v
cpu-59 deg C...
I also forgot i had the disc that came with the mobo so i installed ASUS Probe II, i was monitoring voltage along with temp playing bf2 on another screen but i do not know what to look for in the voltage if something is going wrong.
OH, i think i should mention that i am using a 20 to 24 pin adapter for the PSU. I did not want to buy a new one so bought the adapter instead. Im not sure on the wattage, it does not say on it, but it came with a case i got maybe a year or to ago.
Well, its funny, i have been playing with my case open since the build, i havent gotten around to getting it out of my room where my pc used to be. There is a fan right here i will try pointing it right in the case.
Uggh it's still doing it, even with new drivers and fan speed cranked all the way, i even tried shutting the sapphire trixx software off but nothing. I also ran 3d mark but got to like the 4th scene and same problem. I guess its heat. Anyone reccomend any coolers, or should i put ice in like...
