Hi all,
Just built a SG01 rig with a Tagan 520W EasyCon PSU (due to the Enermax Liberty being out of stock).
It all went smoothly, and the Tagan seemed to be a very nice piece of hardware. However, I came to realize that it's a fair bit deeper than your usual PSU, and there's very very...
This monitor has PIP capability doesn't it? Any chance of a screenshot demonstrating what this looks like? I would like to have a running desktop on one side, and a console running on the PIP... t'wood be groovy.
I see alot of people waiting for the 965G boards for their SFF Conroe builds, but I'm wondering what the disadvantage is with going with the 945G boards out there now which support Core 2 Duo.
My personal usage will be with a E6300 and without overclocking. Will there be any disadvantages...
It does. I presume you just don't know what we're talking about yet. It's not a glossy layer, it's a matte layer. However, there's a "screendoor" effect when viewing bright colours, especially up close, and you can see a "sparkly" colour distortion akin to seeing something through a screendoor...
Yeah I know. I'm just referring to DVL73's post and how it seems like the decision to be made is only between Anti-Reflective matte coated, or Glossy coated. I'm just saying not to forget that you can get NON-anti-reflective matte coated screens.
Of course, nothing quite beats chocolate-coated.
From the above posts, it almost sounds like theres only two options, Anti-Reflective coating or glossy.
But I just thought I'd point out that there is, of course, the old defacto, non-fancy, matte surface, without either the "AR" or glossy coating. For me, that has no screendoor effect, and...
elvn, great post, thanks for those tips and observations. I think you're right, the lighting and brightness of the monitor plays a big part.
What brightness setting do you have? I've already got mine turned down to 41. My contrast is still fairly high though, maybe it needs more tweaking.
I'm sitting a fair way back (at least 2 feet) and I can still notice it. I can understand that not everyone has the same sensitivity with their eyes, and I'm glad its perfect for you, but I'm bringing this up from the perspective of someone who sees it and finds it fatiguing. No need to take...
I'm using 2x Viewsonic VX2025WMs here, and I've noticed that the "antiglare" layer that viewsonic used on the panel has a "glassy" effect (for lack of a better term), where bright colours, especially when viewed close up, have a bit of a sparkle (although not in the way that you would describe...
