That fan underneath the motherboard should help cpu temp big time. Just purchased v2 used few weeks ago. Very nice case but seeing the v4 i should have waited instead :(
Hello. I just got this case and im loving the size of it. Im currently using an strix 1080ti which is 2.5 slot. It fits in the case but without side panel on. My question is it worth it to trade my strix for founder edition? How hot does founder edition run on this case with lid on? Thanks
Been reading a lot about the jbl lsr305 an im leaning towards that. I may buy it locally as i need a speaker soon. Few months is a long wait. Lol!
What 6” version are you referring to?
just bought myself schiit jutenheim and a hd650 headphones. I looking for best audio experience and looking for a good speaker to hook it up to the jutenheim as well. Max budget is 300$. What do you guys recommend?
Thanks
Ive Always been unlucky whenever i bought a cpu before. Always been getting crappy chip. This time around i got lucky with my 8700k. 5ghz @ 1.27 volts. Tried 5.1ghz with 1.28v and stable for 5 hours with prime 95.
Yeah 1.4v should be safe.
The blacking out of the display in bf1 has been resolve. It turns out the display port cable was the culprit. I used the cable that it came with my monitor and the issue is gone.
Ive actually just bought that and my whole system including monitor etc, im maxing out at 410w. Just the rig alone is maxing out at 350w while playing assassins creed origin. Thats with stock 8700k and oced 1080ti to 2025ghz core and 5800ghz mem.
Thank you guys for the help. Another question... whats the worst that could happen when i still keep using my 500w sfx-l? Im thinking of keep using the psu until it dies down.
Edit: i tried to OC my videocard to 2050ghz on core and my pc locked up on me.
How do i know what cable to buy? is there a specific one? I just went back to store and get the sc2 replace with FTW3 and still same thing. Screen blacks out after few minutes of gameplay in BF1
Edit: I tried the Display port cable that came with my monitor and it works. I was able to play one...
does this apply when using display port too? When i had the 1080, I never had this problem. I also played assasins creed origin for an hour and not a single problem.
I will try another psu. Is it bad to run a psu pull load let say for 4 hours a day?
Ok just got the sc2 1080ti but waiting for my psu. Tried it with my 500w sfx-l psu. I benchmarked the 1080ti using the unigine benchmark application for 30 mins and its good. Tried playing assassin creed unity for 30 mins not a problem. When i play bf1 online. Screen goes black and on and will...
It sucks that Im gonna need a psu too:( very expensive upgrade for a 1080ti. Im only limited to sfx power supply as i have a rvz02 case. Corsair sf600 is my only option
Hi guys! Probably been asked this question a lot of times but I cant find specific answer to this setup. I have an 8700K (OCed to 5.1 ghz @ 1.3v) and Asus strix 1080 currently and Silverstone 500w sfx-l can power them up great. I will be upgrading to 1080ti soon and I just found out I need...
Im in the same boat as the op. My plasma tv broke down a year ago and the local store where i bought it couldnt get it to fix so i got a store credit for it. The thing is i dont know what to use that store credit for. Im thinking of selling my current 1080 strix and add that funds to get a...
I just learned how to OC my 8700K and so far Im at 5ghz with 1.260v. Im still using 2400 mhz ram that i was using from my previous skylake build. Im thinking of upgrading the ram for faster ones. Will it benefit me upgrading the ram?
Will still have to play with the settings before starting to oc. Hopefully i have a nice overclocking chip. Its been a while since i overclock a cpu. I read somewhere 5.0 ghz is possible on this chip? What cooling do you have?
Yeah i only had few hours to test the new rig. Temps are good so far. 50c at load. But thats only with 3.8ghz. Still have to play with the settings for sure when i get the free time.
Just build my 8700k rig. Wow what a difference in battlefield 1 multiplayer. Coming from i5 6600k to i7 8700k is noticable.
Quick question. When i was playing battlefield 1, i notice the cpu is clocked at 3.8 ghz only. Why is that? I have not touch any settings yet in bios or overclocking yet.
Used to believed this when i bought my 6600k 2 years ago. Yes majority of games i5 is enough but heavy multiplayer online games such as battlefield 1 made my 6600k bottleneck my 1080. I regret not paying extra for i7. My Next upgrade will definitely be i7.
Thanks for quick reply arnemetis. I will be using Fatal1ty Z370 Gaming-ITX/ac. Choices in mITX format is limited but newegg has this motherboard top rated that's why i bought it. Any experience with this board?
Does upgrading faster ram translates to better OCing? I will mainly game on this build.
Hi guys. Just ordered the 8700k along asrock z370 mitx motherboard. Im planning to reuse my ddr4 memory from skylake build. The ram is https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16820233970.
Will i be able to overclock with this setup? Thanks
Sorry here is the spec of my rig,
i5 6600K OC to 4.2ghz
16 gb of ram
Asus strix GTX 1080
Predator XB1 1440P monitor
Im hitting the 100 fps limit of the game most of the time.
Hi guys! As the title states gsync is not working on this particular game. Gsync works in battlefield 1. I made sure gsync is turned on and vsync is off in nvidia control panel. It used to work before i reinstall windows. What am i missing here? thanks guys
As soon as i exit the bios ill get the blue screen right away. Tried to reinstall windows as well but it would freeze up during installation. Sometime ill make it to the windows but after few minutes it will bsod again.
What i meant was if i have to upgrade to 8700k i would need to buy new ram and motherboard. If i upgrade to 7700k i can still use my z170 board and ram. Reason i chose the 7700k route vs 8700k route.
Yeah that looks like it. The seller looked like a guy who wouldnt scam anybody. Shame scammer able to sleep at night while scamming people who earned their money the hard way.
currently using a i5 6600k and will be upgrading to i7 7700k. 7700k currently has a promo right now that includes assassin creed origin and warhammer 2 which made me upgrade. I was going to upgrade to i7 8700k but the availability of these processor is hard to get. i7 7700k upgrade will also...
Did everything from clearing cmos to pulling battery out and still no luck. Looks like i got scam by the seller. Cant even contact the seller anymore. The price was too good to be true.
