Nice! Where did you order the APU2C4? Right from their site pcengines.ch? am looking for something small and quiet. I've seen many Mini PCs on Amazon and AliExpress but still a bit out of what I am willing to spend.

    SMB lab build help

I am looking to build a Hyper-V 2012 R2 lab for our department so we can virtualize some old desktops that we still use, as well as use this lab for testing different applications. Keeping this separate from our production Hyper-V 2012 R2 Failover Cluster is the reason I want a new box. I am...

Yes I am [H]ardOCP for life! It just does not show up in any of my pages so I didn't think I was part of the challenge. But from what you are saying it goes off of the [H]ardOCP points, to which I contribute via the two projects in which I have enrolled. Thanks!

    cage nut sizes

Well I just happened to find one with markings on the side so I did a Google search on that. The marking was m610 on one side and 093 126 on the other. It turns out the markings 093 126 are the "panel width" according to Fastenal so I ordered some and hope I ordered the correct thread size...

Suggestions for underrated, free webmail account?

If you are interested in running your own domain it is pretty easy. I can even give you a code for GoDaddy so you get 35% off your order. You would pick a domain name, buy it, and then in your online control panel through GoDaddy's website you would set up an email account. Then you would...

    Time Warner Business Class Internet

We use them for our main Internet connection and it has been rock solid. Their Business Class is definitely many notches above the residential services. The only issue we have had is EMI between the TWC router and the AT&T UVerse router which makes the TWC router go down :p I can't speak to...

    Home Network / VPN Question

How fast is your Internet connection? I don't see any problem with using a 10/100 firewall if your connection to the Internet is anything less than 100 Mbps. If you have the 10/100/1000 switch inside of the firewall you will still have gigabit speeds to everything on your network... I suppose...

    Company needs a new SAN

In our current FAS2240-2 we have 12x900 10k SAS disks. Are these standard, or are these "low-to-mid grade"? I would love to get a good deal on a NetApp before the end of their fiscal year but I don't think this is enough time especially since I am not the one who signs off on it.

Planning Hyper-V Storage for Win2012 Standard R2 Guests and Replicas

I would recommend shared storage instead of storing the VMs on their own individual servers. You could use a NAS for something like this and still have great performance. This way you can cluster your Hyper-V hosts and be highly available. You won't have to use Hyper-V Replica because you will...
