My local sears was out but substituted the 20pc set and still took the coupon. I was pretty impressed that I didn't even have to ask for the substitution.
You don't seem to get that the digital signal is still traveling through a physical medium, which is governed by what we call laws of physics. Signal degradation is a simple fact of life. Eventually the signal will decay to the point that the original information will not reach the end point...
You really might want to grab yourself a winDAS cable to get your brightness under control.
As far as the refresh rate, you should be able to select an option somewhere to lock your refresh rates to the desktop rate in games, or just have it "force" a certain refresh rate at all times. I...
I got mine in Feb. but I had to call a total of maybe 12 times to get everything straightened out with them. I bought 3 drives and it initally only showed that I was due for 1 50 dollar check.... and every time I called I got a different story and was promised it was taken care of, which it...
Hey guys,
What I have here for you today is an Athlon 64 3000+, socket 754, stepping: CBASC. I pulled this processor from a working rig so it should work a treat for those of you with 754 boards. The chip has no bent pins or scratches. I'm looking for $25 shipped. I take Paypal (even with...
It would be approximately 2.5x zoom from 35mm. With the 1.6 crop factor of the aps sensor the range is ~29mm to 88mm. You divide by 35mm to get what "x" zoom it is. So 18mm (29mm actual) is going to be a bit more of a wide-angle than at 35mm. FWIW

This thread reminds me when my old 17" CRT died... I was wondering how to destroy it and the very next day I found a bowling ball someone had thrown my front yard. It was a sign... Nothing is quite as cool as a bowling ball going through the front of a monitor and watching the whole tube...
The BB near me already has pallets of them sitting in the TV section... I'd say around 25 32"ers from what I could gather (they had their other deals too so it was hard to get an estimate for the 32" only). FWIW
I'm currently waiting on my WinDAS cable but it is taking FOREVER to get here... I bought the one for $19 shipped on Ebay and unlike other things I have ordered from Canada, this seems to be taking forever.

Alright, first off let me say that I in no way recommend that you mess around with the innards of a monitor without first understanding that if you mess up you can and will get seriously hurt. You should be experienced around electricity and be able to keep a level head around it. Having said...
I just opened up my HP to set the focus and wow what a difference. It wasn't off by much at all to start with and it was definitely acceptable, but now it is sharper than I ever thought posible on a CRT. I got some pictures of the process and may upload them later. I am a bit hesitant because...
Thanks to this thread I just picked up two of these bad boys yesterday and I must say I'm pleased as punch! I found a local HP reseller that was selling these to locals for $150 each! I checked them out in person and they proved to be flawless (geometry, color, focus, convergence were all dead...
I loaded up Half-Life 2 on my 731b last night and it certainly seemed decent enough. With rapid movements I didn't really notice any smearing, just a little clipping because I didn't have v-sync on. Overall it is an amazing deal because normally $100 lcd's are crappy companies and they have...
Just picked up two 731b's at my local OfficeMax for $99.99 each. They didn't have any of the 730b's but were offering the 731b's instead. I took the last two but they told me they were going to start offering the 19" StarLogics as a substitute too. My mom actually had one up front and was...
