AT&T has a 30 day return policy for equipment, along with most other carriers. This is directly from AT&T, it could be different from Best Buy or other 3rd party retailers.
While I agree it's weird/lame not to have an expanable memory slot, 8 gigs is seriously plenty for a handset. I run a HTC Fuze (Touch Pro) with an 8gig microSD card and have 4.5 gigs of random music, pictures, videos and programs/cab files. Still plenty to go and if it's music I could still jam...
The thread title states it is unlocked. Therefore it will work with any carrier that supprts the network bands it uses.
Hit up Phonescoop/Google for the network bands it runs on.
Great price. Only a dollar more than G2Play.pl has it for right now. (Which I just got it off this week)
Definitely try this one out if you've been living under a rock for the past 6 months.
I'm hoping this is better than the first 6.5 ROM I tried. That was buggy and crashed apps a lot (standard stuff like Opera and Palringo).
I switched back to EnergyROM2 (6.1) and have been enjoying it, but I agree that 6.5 ran faster (when it worked) than any of the 6.1 ROMs currently out.
People might be adverse to this, but the Sidekick LX 2009 is coming out May 13th and it looks to be a really really solid non-smartphone. Hi-Res Screen, 3mp Camera, IM, Text, YouTube/WebBrowser, etc.
It's gotten some pretty solid praise so far from Engadget. Check it...
Umm, yea you bought the phone from them. They didn't send it to you as a coaster or a paper weight for free. It's up to you to activate it or sell it, or whatever else.
My co-worker has this phone (bone stock) and he likes it a lot. The CRAZY battery life is correct, it literally lasts 4 days of lite-moderate use. It is a solid device.
Before I switched to AT&T and started getting free handsets through work my phones with Verizon would last me over 2 years. I'm working on my 4th month with the HTC Fuze and hoping to nab a Nokia E71x whenever we get some in.
I'm not sure if the native Windows Mobile version on the Verizon Touch has a Comm Manager, but the ROM I use for a GSM Touch includes a Comm Manager and one of the "On/Off" features is for "Data Connection".
Alternately you can edit your network settings to something completely bogus and...
Just shop around. In addition to the advice about chargers etc from Amazon, I would compare what Amazon is selling phones for with contracts opposed to what the carriers themselves are offering.
Also of note, you can buy a phone from someone and then activate it on the native network for that...
I agree with the Craigslist option. All the other advice given from deduce is accurate, the ESN is on the back lable of the phone under the battery. It's the identifying serial number. You can call to check the ESN with Sprint and then they can activate it on your account or you can change it...
The thing is that the warranty replacement group only has a limited number of handsets available in full kits, so even if they wanted to replace it with something outside the standard replacement guidelines at this time, there isn't a garuantee they could do so.
If the handset is within 30...
There was a stopsell put on the Quickfire. The charger issue was part of the reason. Apparently the charger was fairly easy to plugin backwards and this would cause it to overheat. That among other quality issues it had caused the decision to be made.
The standard replacements for it...
Well shoot. Thanks for the feedback.
I definitely think there is a memory leak then. I'm not sure if it's a certain app or just my cooked ROM in general. Hopefully someone will have some good advice before the weekend, if not I'll just backup and start trying new ROMs out.
FYI if you just bought a hard drive and now it is eligible for this 10% off you can have them refund the amount you would have got off. I spoke to a Live Chat rep and he completed it, took about 10 minutes of my time.
So I have a GSM Touch Pro (Fuze) and I'm running a cooked ROM from XDA. It's a few months old and I'm wondering what others are running and finding to be good.
Main concerns for me are battery life, speed and non-leaky memory (my current ROM will bloat to 60% after a day and half of opening...
GoogleMaps - of course
Opera Mini - Skyfire's resolution looks pretty bad when zooming and Fuze has a YouTube app.
Palringo - Complete Instant Messanger
TinyTwitter - Tweet tweet
Core Player - More media, more better
I've been pushed into a pool with a phone in my pocket and had it start working a couple days later. The same phone was later sold to a friend who dropped it in the toilet (don't ask, I don't know) and it worked again after that.
My advice is to leave it in a cool sunny window for a couple of...
Your reply was really really well done. I commend you on keeping a cool head and asking for reasonable solution and communication.
If you aren't able to receive a refund via PayPal I would definitely take it up with your credit card company as a charge back.
Good luck mate.
This is absolutely retarded. Safari displays far worse content than Twitter does and I'm sure they wouldn't think of banning new versions of their own software.
Haha, that picture of the cat with the hat was awesome.
Seriously though, this is a bit much. The man is overdramatizing this harmless star which recognizes his account status. I'd hate to see someone show him all the other places that yellow stars are used. I got them on my homework when I...
