The so-called fix is for stopping rebooting when Power button was pressed. The ONLY jumper needed to change is the one behind the KB/Mouse (to 5vsb). I don't know what the other jumpers would do.

I really don't know if this is the solution. I am just repeating what I've read. The jumper is on the upper left hand concer, right behind the KB and Mouse connector. Connecting 2-3 pin on the JP7 jumper would allow wake-on-ps/2 kb/mouse. See user manual pg 43.

Tough question to give a simple answer. Assuming you mean graphic chipsets, I would say nVidia just because it has PureVideo decoder software (not free) that would work with most of the nvidia graphic cards. The same is not true for Ati. This is coming from a DFI RS482 (ati) user--me.
