    Mushkin Redline PC2-8000 RAM

XP2-8000 scales nicely with voltage, even up to 2.6V will show some increase on clock speeds. In my own test I got them up to DDR1100 with 4-4-3-10. This is only with 2.47V measured with DMM.

Is there a reason my RAM cannot do a command rate 1T

Command Per Clock is not timing like CAS, TRCD, TRP or TRAS are and I can see alot confusion about the whole CPC. It is not affiliated with what is going through the memory but whats going through the memory controller and on the memory sub-system and how strong this part is able to operate...

    2 GB: Needless or Necessity?

I was refering to "kits" with both densitys. As in 2x512Mb (for 1GB) or 2x1024Mb (for 2GB).

    2 GB: Needless or Necessity?

Its on my other harddrive which is not here at the moment since I moved and I had no original itentions to push those up to web but if you want me to put them avail then I'd be more than happy to do that once I'll get my hands on those :)

AMD AM2's secret weapon to wipe the floor with Conroe?

This makes this conversation even more interesting: Core Multiplexing technology. Thats pretty much same what AMD has to offer.

    2 GB: Needless or Necessity?

Let me specify some of that. If you have 1GB of memory thats running timings 2-3-2-6 then you set 2GB of memory with 3-3-3-8 timings against that 1GB kit and you are not playing games which requires more than 1GB of ram for ie. 1280x1024res using high texture details, then you see the...

    2 GB: Needless or Necessity?

There's few good things and few bad things here, 2GB memory kits doesn't offer as tight timing as 1GB kits does so if you play games that doesnt need more than 1GB of memory and you have 1GB kit that offers somewhat "tight" timings you wont see improvement, actually the performance will decrease...

Help tweaking Redline's on a DFI NF4-D board

Sorry for the delay We used somewhat slighter alpha timings on the binning process but most of the modules are good with the values I gave. I have had several kits, most does 260-270 with 2-2-2.

Help tweaking Redline's on a DFI NF4-D board

Our Redline XP4000 (2x512Mb) part was rated to 3.3V-3.5V. Make also sure you use digital multimeter to measure your real VDIMM since there is some overvolting with older DFI NF4 -series boards (usually overvolts about ~0.09V). BIOS version 623 and 702 has been worked best for me and you have...

    CPU-Z reading DDR500 PC4000 ram incorrect?

I did reply to your thread on mushkin forums. First of all, the product number is reading 991482 instead of 991483 because of binning process. All the SPD programming is done before we decide which modules we sell in single package and which ones goes for dual channel packages. Would be...

A8R32-MVP users, tricks and tips here

I faced some issues to get system boot properly after I disabled few onboard peripherals (this was when system was overclocked using bios 0311 but 0404 seemed to do some sort of an improvement to this). After all the tips&tricks list I've done is about my experiences and how I got my board...

    Burned by Mushkin

Sticker on the modules says the amount of the memory the dual channel kit presents, not the amount of the single module and SPD is not always programmed to use rated timings, sometimes end-user needs manually force timings in BIOS. If you have some issues regarding RMA or there's something...

You can play along with Northbridge Over-Voltage as much as you like but I found out after leaving Southbridge Over-Voltage: Enabled, I got "ILLEGAL SUMOUT" warnings (it is not error) in Prime95, which indicates that chipset is throttling. The ClockSkew is the advertised...

There's actually no reason to run 400HTT over 300HTT if you can get your CPU speed high enough with lower HTT, only reason I showed it was that at least people can be sure that there's no issues with board to take some HTT speed as I saw some reports where people had some hard times to get past...

It doesn't work in all cases I've seen. For me it displays always -1GHz lower CPU speed, -100MHz lower HTT/memory speed. I'll edit that a little :) This what the clockgen does:picture.

Did some researching about others experience with the new Asus RD580 and I have to say I am a little shocked, not about how the board performs but more like how many user errors I have seen and complaints about the motherboard so I decided to write a little DO's and DONT's guide for you A8R32...

DFI or Asus mobo for OC'ing?

Comparing Asus RD580 board and DFI NF4 SLI-DR (non-Expert) I'd have to say I'd go with Asus (if I'm not using high voltage memory which I have a lot). And if I need do some BH-5, CH-UTT benchies with this I just take my soldering iron to guide me throught the lands of the voltage ;) I've had...

    Is 4GB worth it?

This what I tried, mixed some XP4000 and XP4000 Redline. Picture Here. I also do play some Battlefield 2 and only improvement I could see is the map loading times. And improvement we're talking about here was from four to six seconds. In game performance went actually a little bit slower...

How do you install a CNPS7700-CU on an A8N-SLI?

Put the motherboard to freezer and let it be there for ~30mins and try to remove it after this. Glue gives up when it gets cold enough. Another way is use hairdryer to warm up the backplate and glue of course gives up because it gets too hot. Eitherway should be fine.

    4x 512 in 2T Question

4x512Mb at 2T is about 2-5% slower compared to 2x1GB at 1T when same memory frequency and timings are being used. With the system you had in your other thread you will not notice any difference between 4x512Mb 2T and 2x1GB 1T. Personally I would get some 2x1GB for a little more "future proof"...

muskin 4 512 meg ddr HELP PLZ

First you have to disable CPC (turn command rate to 2T) and set timings manually to 3-4-4-8. It gets always more difficult when two different module sets are being mixed. If it doesn't work for you, report back and we'll see what we can do for you. :)
