So quick update, I had him disconnect all drives and try to get into BIOS as well as use the onboard gpu, still no go, most likely it's a dud motherboard, he already started the RMA process for that. I'll be able to test the PSU soon, and he gave me his ramsticks and GPU for me to test.
Well it can't even get into the UEFI menu, and I had him disconnect the SSD with windows on it, it should still display something on the screen even if there is no drive with an active boot sector. I highly doubt it is an issue with the windows installation, as it runs without a hitch once it's...
This isn't my machine but rather a friends. I so far have tried to debug over the phone, once I get a chance I'll actually head over and do some basic debugging.
So the machine has run fine for over a year but recently has started taking longer and longer to startup, as in the screen remained...
Here is a full article on the shoot, including a vimeo video.

The thing is I'm not sure if colors were saturated/blown out much at all, also many of the publication shots are heavily...
Vincent Laforet is one of the most critically acclaimed photographers of his generation. The guy is known for thinking about composition perspectives no one has thought to do before.
Here is a better series of descriptions on the methods and reasoning for the shoot:

I'm moving soon and I'm trying to get rid of alot of things I don't use any more, so prices are already going to be relatively low. Price includes shipping within the continental USA. I haven't sold anything online in a while but I do have my old heatware account...
I have those arms and I am currently using 2x 27" LG's with it. It can barely rotate to vertical with it but it works, it's more limited by weight than anything, I had increase the force in the piston to keep the monitors at the height I want.
And going from cheaper monitor arms I do love...
I have a 6950 right now and dual 27" monitors. Right nearby I have a new projector HT setup. I realized I couldn't do eyefinity due to neither the screens nor the projector having a displayport naitvely. But if I add a second GPU, say a 5450 with hdmi output, can I have the dual 27" stretch...
Before I go and butcher some RCA wires, I would like to get a confirmation that this looks correct. I'm always up for cheap experimentation( I have a bunch of spare RCA wires and resistors etc)
I did some research and found the only way to combine channels via analog is to use resistors or a...
I've found that technically the way these work is they either use resistors or transformers. The one I listed uses a transformer.
I've found a couple cases on AVS forums where people have used 10k oh resistors in the Wye splitters to prevent shorting both channels for the speakers. Since I...
Well there is no sub coming in for right now
I called audioengine and Energy both have recommended I just hook up one of the channels via RCA to the sub, since most low frequencies are non directional.
What do you guys think?
Audioengine did say do not use a simple Wye connector to combine...
I can't cancel the A2's so I'm stuck with them
I'm still thinking the $28 amp is my best bet, since like I mentioned before using that adapter my A2's will just be receiving mono input into both channels.
akin to mixing both channels together and feeding the mix back into each channel input...
but by using that adapter wouldn't i basically be combining the two channels together, not only for the sub but for the A2's as well?
instead of receiving 2 separate distinct channels the A2's would basically be receiving 2 channels that have been combine into each left and right.
I think i'm...
yeah, well total cost before was
199for A2's + 199 subwoofer,
now its 199 for sub + 230ish for receiver + 100 for sattelites
so it's now a 25% increase
the A2's will slaughter the polks? really? I can't find any comparison period so I have no idea
I'm about to just give up and get the A2's...
I want to keep the sub so I think I can cancel the A2's still
If so how's this, its a bit more than what I budgeted
but this receiver
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882115313
plus the Polk RM8s($100 on egg right now)
I'm assuming the sound quality should be similar to...
Actually he takes it back, there seems to be no way to connect these since the sub only has High level in or Sub in which is single RCA.
I need to make a choice quickly now, do I cancel the energy sub and get either the cheaper yamaha or polk sub which both have rca stereo inputs. Or figure out...
actually realized I can't hook it up that way, since the Energy sub doesn't have high level output, only input
Talking to my friends brother who's pretty good with this stuff, he thinks just splitting the signal from the STX and having 1 go to the A2's and the other to the sub's high input...
Well, I'm still fairly new to all this
The energy has basically two types of input the single RCA sub in which I assume can only take unamplified input, and in any case I can't use because that would require me to combine both channels which would screw up the stereo sound in the A2's.
The...
hmm question if I use something like that won't that screw up the A2's sound? since it's combining stereo into a single RCA?
bleh now thinking I'm regretting the energy sub since it doesn't have a dual RCA input
Ooops one last question
The energy sub doesn't have an RCA input, so can I still just use a splitter to combine the two channels into a single mono RCA and use that? and if so is the signal from the sound card too amplified where I will need a Line level converter?
I think it is basically both inputs are connected parallel, therefore the sub and speakers run technically in parallel. Basically you're using the A2's as a splitter. I'm sure this is what it does, there have been a few accounts I found where people have set it up this way.
Well if cancellation at amazon goes through I'll be picking up the energy, didn't know it was on sale on the egg.
-edit was able to cancel, getting the energy S10.3
Talking to Audioengine they said the A2's secondary input can be used as a passthrough and quite a few people have hooked up a sub in this manner.
So whats coming in?
Audioengine A2's + the BIC F12
(looking at pictures and specs of the thing scare me, considering the largest sub I've ever...
Ah right I forgot about the speaker level input output.
So still any input on the Polk 110? I hear they are way better than the PSW10's not sure if and how much better they may be than the yamaha
I only mentioned the PSW10 cuz newegg has em on sale for $89 and I don't have to pay tax...
