I have an 8800 gts spare, and used to have a single 3870 (crossfired after I actually tried gaming on it) The 3870 has better image quality, which is huge because you'd be looking at a lot more still images than with the 8800. (Fps lag) Posted via [H] Mobile Device

the gtx260 is still a pretty quick card to today's standards so I'd say if you can get a 465 for 100-130 bucks, it's a great bang for the buck option.

i don't think the oven trick is going to stop the card from overheating. Krieger, does your card run at 90C load or idle? what is the ambient temperature? my 4870x2 GPU0 gets up to 90 on occasion, especially in furmark.
