I don't know if your current rig is in your sig, but it depends on what gpu your computer has now.
For my money, I'd buy the GTX280 every time out of those two. Killer card. I have one in my second rig downstairs and its a very fast card.

I've gotten like 5 things from them. I got my order shipment email the same day the product came.
A deal this good would back up anyones workload.
Skl1 I'm sure someone who missed the deal would be glad to reimburse you in exchange for the card.

How much value does a corsair/antec power supply add over bestec?
How much value does a gigabyte/msi/evga high grade motherboard add over a dell oem?
How much value does corsair/ocz/g.skill/crucial memory add over junk brands?
If he had a solid motherboard, psu, ram, and a 4890 or...
I seriously don't see how this could hurt anybody in any way.
1. Increases traffic to HardOCP/HardForum
2. Increases traffic to our eBay auctions, driving the prices up
3. Keeps used computer part sellers on eBay in check.
4. Keeps prices on auctions low enough that we'll still buy it...
i wish there was a way to hide threads... the CPU has me sick at that price.
I'll bump for you, but please don't let me see that price again :|
I want it :\
I have an 8800 gts spare, and used to have a single 3870 (crossfired after I actually tried gaming on it)
The 3870 has better image quality, which is huge because you'd be looking at a lot more still images than with the 8800. (Fps lag)

i don't think the oven trick is going to stop the card from overheating.
Krieger, does your card run at 90C load or idle?
what is the ambient temperature? my 4870x2 GPU0 gets up to 90 on occasion, especially in furmark.
Different strokes for different folks.
Fermi is a fine product that people had too much time to speculate and build hatred over while nvidia delivered too slowly.

My friend wants to buy my 4650 I got from the lawsuit settlement, anyway I'm curious what people that have done this have thought of the card in real world usage. I'm sure they trade blows performance wise, but what about image quality, heat, and power usage?

damn dude, I've been doing hot deals all wrong. I used to think the less the product cost, the more of a "hot deal" it was. Now I've learned that the more reviews there are, the hotter the deal.
Thanks!
Yeah that's true. We should eliminate all 100 year old+ technology just because it's antiquated and find something newer. I'll start a list of things to eliminate because they're old.
Please add to my short list:
Speakers
Electricity
THE WHEEL
light bulbs
fire
milk
farms
houses
radios
Which never indicates something good is to be said. A false detection and people are going on forum wars that are completely pointless.
If this shit was for real, we'd have heard it sooner and seen more complaints.
