As an old AC Darktide player I've also looked for anything that resembles it and I haven't found anything.
I honestly think AC ruined me as far as MMO's goes, nothing else really compares to the random killing and consequences that you found on Darktide. I doubt there's much mass-market...
HoN has a ridiculous learning curve for those who haven't played DotA but is a much richer and more rewarding experience than LoL. I would say if you are a more casual gamer who hasn't played DotA then go with LoL. If you have played DotA before you might be put off on how dumbed-down LoL is...
HoN has a much steeper learning curve but is a far more rewarding game because of it.
I would say if you want to play very casually then LoL is the way to go. I play HoN almost exclusively but found that when I do play LoL with friends it's extremely easy to pretty much destroy everyone taking...

For anyone that has ever played/liked DotA before this is a great game to get into. If you play LoL and want to move up to a higher-skilled/more competitive game now would be a great time as well.
See you all in Newerth!
The gameplay is great but be careful before you buy.... there some stability and database bugs right now and to be honest I'm not sure if EA is even going to bother to fix them ( for example theres two Birmingham City's and no Blackpool if you play career mode in the Premiership)
If anything letting the Mac users stand out and giving them cool exclusive freebies is an awesome idea. Just like the Demo/Soldier update where Valve tried to create some competition between classes now Valve is creating competition between different OS users.
Imagine all the hate/jealousy...
It's also important to remember that VAC uses delayed bans, meaning that even if the system detects that you're cheating it will not ban you immediately. It does this so people that create hacks cannot get feedback on what part of their hack is being detected (and get information on how to go...
Just got one (wired version.. was cheaper and i don't really need the wireless) and it's worked flawlessly with FIFA and Assassins Creed 2. Great controller overall.
You should definitely play the first one just to get a perspective on the story. Also playing the first one will give you great appreciation for how much more polished the second one is :)
The new curse of monkey island games are fun to play... they may not be multiplayer but you can play them at the same time and brainstorm on how to solve puzzles etc
Thanks for the responses; I looked up all the cards and they look like superb solutions but are all a bit expensive.... I don't need 7.1 or even digital output. Maybe a lower-end solution?
Do they make a Asus Xonar Value? :P
I'm still using an old SB Live Value, and I went through some major hassles to get it installed in Vista64.
Creatives driver support has been pretty terrible and after experiencing some intermittent soun d issues i figure it's time to invest in a new card.
What's a good...
Freelancer was sucha good game when I first played it (aside from the grinding). I re-installed it recently and yeah its great with all those mods etc but it's still the same basic game of grinding. Also the graphics make me sad now :(
Honestly I felt like the gameplay just turned into a grind/bore-fest and I just wanted to see the story progress. With that in mind the game felt like a great book...
it reminds me of rise of nations.. some epic empire-constructing with battles going on in between. by epic i mean truly epic btw... the game is pretty darned fun as long as you like large scale strategy games but at the same time its hard to compare to anything else in the genre (its nothing...
I think his point was that the box made it sound like it was like any other single player game with multi-player options. In fact a lot of games that aren't multiplayer-focused have similar descriptions on their boxes.
After playing KotoR I would disagree with you but after playing Mass Effect I'm totally inclined to agree with you. I also thought only Wrex was really compelling and while KotoR was worth playing through for me just so I could learn more about the other characters and such I never felt like I...
Ah I see.. Thanks for clearing that up.
Also should I replace my SB Live value! thats in my current rig? I don't even know if newer sound cards are worth it. Also should I opt for vista64?
Why does monitor resolution matter? My current CRT is 17' and probably goes up to 1920x1200 or something along those lines but I've never bothered running anything at more than 1152x768 anyways. Is running games at super high resolutions the current trend? I always thought AA offset the need...

Made by a 3-man dev team(aka the kind of dev team that deserves the support of gamers more than EA :P), it can only be obtained online whether through the WiiShop or for PC Download. Long story short it's one of the most fun and addictive games I've played in years...
Any ideas? I ran a memtest for like 3 cycles and it didn't find any errors so I'm at a loss as to what to check/do next.
It just kind of started randomly without me updating or changing anything. Sometimes it happens when im playing games other times when I'm just listening to music etc...
