    Warm? Diablo 3 55.99

Great to hear - I definitely started to worry a bit. 4:28 EST and I haven't seen or heard anything yet! But now that others have actually received theirs, hopefully mine will follow shortly. UPDATE: Just received my email @ 4:37 PM EST. Time to get started!

    Warm? Diablo 3 55.99

I'm also still waiting for my CD Key (1:36 PM EST). As the previous poster said, we were promised a delivery by 5 PM EST today. I remain hopeful that it will show up by then. I'm stuck in training until 4:30 anyways, so no need for the key sooner. Just wanted to share my experience with...

    Warm? Diablo 3 55.99

Just a heads up for everyone. If you order this, you won't receive the CD Key until May 14th. At least that's what he told me after I ordered from him. I figured I should point it out to everyone because he never mentioned it at any point during the transaction, and it kind of caught me off...

    Intel 320 160GB SSD + Battlefield 3 combo for $154.99 AR FS

I mailed my rebate information out on Dec 6th. Just checked, and the rebate website status shows that they are still awaiting receipt of documentation. I know these places tend to be a little slow, but 13 days after mailing is a bit worrisome. Anyone else experience a similar delay?

verizon users: samsung i760 for <$100 no contract (recertified)

Gotta agree with the previous poster. I bought this phone 2 months ago. It's OK, but definitely has memory issues and acts very sluggishly at times. But if you really want a Windows Mobile phone, it might be a good first choice for you.

    socket 1366, i7 920 cpu

D0 is a newer stepping that supposedly can hit the same frequencies at a lower temp than C0. But in my experience reading through forums, it seems to be hit or miss. The i7 rocks either way -- I'm just not so sure that the D0 is anything noticeably better than the C0.

What's the best i7 I can get for my money

Just stick with aircooling... no need to spend all that extra cash when you can OC to 4.0 GHz with air.

It took me 7 different tries with that cooler to get my load temps down into the mid 70º's. Huge pain, but I'm glad to have figured it out.

    Overclocking Air: Intel i7 920, Asus P6T, G.Skill DDR3-1600 C8, Xigmatek HDT-1284E

I have the same cooler as you, and I had issues with the CPU running too hot at load with 3.6+ GHz overclock. After experimenting a bunch with the amount and pattern of applied thermal paste, I finally got my temps down into the mid 70º's under load. But to get there, I had to attach the HSF...

    Is 57c okay for an i920 @ 3.8, 1.211v?

50+º idle is definitely too much. I had a lot of issues getting my HSF on with proper cooling, and yet my idle temps only hit 50 with one of my attempts (the one where I barely applied any thermal paste). If you're seeing 50s, I think you need to check to ensure your HSF is making contact with...

overclocking the i7 920 for the first time and need help

I don't think you'll have much luck getting past 3.4 GHz with the stock cooler. But if 3.4 is enough for you, you can prob hit 170 BCLK with 20x multiplier and acceptable temps using the stock cooler. I was running stock for about a week and had my 920 at 3.2 easily. Didn't bother to push it...

Ordering i7 from newegg, quick question

My D0 has also been tough to get to 3.8 GHz stable on air. I've had to bump Vcore up to 1.3v and QPI up to 1.355v. My temps idle around 45 ºC and 80 ºC load. The D0 can definitely be a challenge!

Set a max voltage for i7?

I think all you can really do is set everything to Manual so that you don't have to worry about auto voltages. Not much help, but I think that's all you can do.

Both fit on the 1366. I have read the Dark Knight has comparable performance to the TRUE, but costs a decent amount less. Prob up to you which one you'd rather spring for.

Definitely looking forward to Diablo III very much, but I don't expect it to be out until the end of 2010 at best. Never give Blizzard the benefit of the doubt!

    New i7 build -- take a look

I had my i7 920 running at 3.2 on the stock cooler for a week no problem. Bumped it up when my new HSF arrived. But if you are sticking with the stock, you should be able to go 160 BCLK x20 without any issues.

    New i7 920 Build Suggestions?

PCP&C reliability issues: fact or fiction?

I just built a PC with the PC P&C 750. Been running for 2 weeks now with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I can't hear the PSU fan at all (if it makes noise, it's drowned out by my CPU and case fans). Fiction!

Applying Thermal Paste to Xigmatek Dark Night

I just built a new PC with an i7 920. My HSF is the Xigmatek Dark Night. I'm having trouble getting this cooler to effectively cool my CPU. The temps I'm seeing are basically dead-even with the temps I was getting with the original stock HSF from Intel. It seems that my thermal paste (AS5)...

+1 for AS5. Arctic Silver has never steered me wrong through my various builds over the years.

    New Mobo For i7920 & 1 ati 4890

The UD3R is cheaper, but the SLI version costs more than the standard UD3R. This makes it pretty close to the UD4P in price. Add in the fact that the UD3R only has 4 RAM slots and doesn't support triple channel memory, and I think the UD4P is worth a look over the UD3R for only a slight price bump.

    Intel Core i7 920 Overclocking and Heat @ [H]

    Intel Core i7 920 Overclocking and Heat @ [H]

Could anyone tell me the maximum CPU Voltage for the i7 920? The Intel page I found states 1.225 V, but I see that some people here have gone beyond that. So I'm not sure what to believe.

My D0 has been working flawlessly. Only OC'd to 3.0 GHz so far, but I plan on getting it up to 3.8 in the near future. I am definitely a happy customer.

Wait a second, Have i been applying thermal paste wrong all this time?

I've always used the pea drop with my previous builds, but I went with the straight line on my i7 920 build per the AS5 instructions. However, my temps are a bit higher than I was expecting so I'm planning on removing the HSF and redoing the whole thing. Will probably stick with the line...

    First time OCn a i7

You can disable the multiplier changes in your bios if you'd like. The increase is due to Intel Turbo Boost. I think it allows your multiplier to increase by 1 when needed. I think the decrease is from Intel EIST. No clue what the pros and cons are of having them enabled or disable --...

Xigmatek Dark Night - Adhesive on bottom?

Crap... I just put one of these in my brand new build with an i7 920. The temps have been a tad high and I've been meaning to remove and reattach the thing, but I hadn't realized there was a sticky residue leftover from the plastic it came with! Sure hope nothing bad results from it.

Motherboards with D0 stepping support stock?

I just built a rig with a D0 i7 920. I went with the GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P for my mobo. Everything works perfectly right out of the box. I'm not sure what my BIOS version is (I haven't gotten around to updating it yet), but whatever version it is, it's working great so far.

    Left for Dead 2? Already?

L4D2 just looks like a big patch to me... basic gameplay and engine will be the same. Adding some new features and levels == PATCH, not a new game. I'm annoyed that Valve will be charging us for this update.
