How about using AI Booster to lower the FSB? Wait...Can you explain that more? I'm not sure I completely understand. AI Nap is similar to the "Stand By" mode in Windows XP whereas EPU cimply changes your voltages/clocks right?

I'm also having a similar problem. I think you have to have the "AI Overclock" set to "Auto" instead of "Manual" for EPU to run normally.

i'm thinking its the chip that is maxed out...i'm not sure about the average OC for an e4300, but a 1.2ghz gain seems to be about the max i got out of my e6600. how have you tested the motherboards max FSB?

Other voltages may be your memory controller or fsb voltage. however...i must ask....is the jump from a lower voltage and lower clock really worth it to where you are now? i'm not saying to back down (being the [H] and all) but you get what i mean:p

well, if you upgrade to Nehalem, you would have to pick up a new cpu, memory, and mobo, but you would still be able to keep the other things (HDD, gpu, case, psu, etc.) so i would say that cuts the price considerably.

i'm experiencing a similar problem...my DS3P refuses to run with more than 1 stick in the slots. i've tried multiple slots, and a brand new set of RAM...but nothing seems to work. i'm verys ure that the memory controller is nearing it's death, but i haven't tried out the stuff on a new mobo yet...

Yeah, all the memory settings are set to auto. I have also tried resetting the CMOS but nothing better. I had came back from winter vacation and the comp worked fine for the first couple weeks, but after that it randomly started having this problem.

Update:: I tried each of the DDR2-800 sticks individually for 1 slot only, and it seems that my comp only boots with one of the sticks...Anyone have any ideas? It's really difficult to believe that one of the sticks would die in less than 24 hrs...

I think he means that the 720p video files you have are in a format that loads your CPU very heavily, whereas his are in a format that doesn't.
