Totally worth it. It's pretty much the only PC game I play nowadays. Tons of user made content and three mods are out for it, the latest being Darkest Hour, a D-Day mod.

My current rig (see signature) runs all the games I want to play (M2TW, Insurgency, Project Reality, CNC3) at high settings. If it doesnt I just use the 1:1 pixel mapping at a lower res.
