First thing he checked was whether or not there were any existing price match notices, saying that if there were he wouldn't need to visit BB's site to verify anything. The notes apparently referenced BB being out of stock both on and offline, hence the price match deny.
Might have luck...
Excellent price. Was able to get them to refund me the $15 extra I paid them for an 840 Pro last week, and am considering buying a second to replace the 830 in my laptop (totally unnecessarily, but hey).
Was really surprised that it took some cajoling to get the refund - I'm used to better...
Mine arrived today, and will replace my venerable Antec TP850. Was simply too good a deal to pass on and, at over 6yrs old, time for the Antec to hit retirement.
I ordered a 16gb sandisk from DS a couple months ago. Before it arrived, I got an email from them saying it wasn't sandisk and I could either return it for a full refund or keep it and get a credit for the purchase price. Sure enough, it came w/o any brand label, and worked only sporadically...
I had to pry the panels outward, while depressing the release buttons. The mobo-side release button somehow seized up during the build process, and it took quite a bit of wrangling to get it to release - couldn't see inside the mechanism, so not sure how it caught, or how it released...
That's how I mounted my H100, per the H100 installation instructions. Wow the top fans are audible ... they're the same fans and config I was using the my ATCS 840, so I'm guessing this is merely a factor of this case being much smaller, allowing the sound to travel toward me better (or worse...
Mine arrived yesterday, via the Newegg $120 AR deal. Haven't had time to really dig into it, but have some initial thoughts to post.
Both side panels "rattle", and the front edge of the fan side panel is a little warped - not enough to that its really bothersome but, since this panel rattles...
Congratulations Corsair. You just earned the distinction of being the first hardware mfg to get my money without the benefit of any 3rd party reviews. May God have mercy on my soul.
Seeing a brand new product getting both a discount and an MIR out the gate does make me a little nervous.
Looks like a very nice deal, though odd the MIR isn't showing up on the page yet (for me anyway). Almost disappointed I threw down for a 2nd M4 last week ... would have considered swapping.
What a frustration.
I have an existing Technet Standard subscription, which has decreased in usefulness due to continued "adjustments" by Microsoft, silently removing software that used to be included - Server 2008 Web is a good example. First they pulled just the R2 version some months...
Had it sitting in my cart when it went OOS - was busy talking w/ a couple of friend about whether or not GPS functionality was supported. :(
Oh well, will continue waiting for a Transformer deal.
Bwahahaha - showed up in my email account today. Was about to pull the trigger on a refurb Harmony 900, to replace the 880 my wife dunked in her tea :(, but new w/ this code saved another $15 over the refurb price. Sweetness!
edit: 880 got the dunk
Can't speak to the 2720, but have been reasonably happy with my RR4320 (8-port SAS, 3Gb/s) - only trouble I've had was due to the drive incompatibility (Seagate 7200.11) so I don't hold that against Highpoint. Driver/bios updates/improvements are rare, but support is responsive.
Ah decisions decisions. My usenetserver sub ($95.40/yr) doesn't renew until Jan. 2012, but it sounds like Astraweb is the superior option. Hate to pass on a chance to change services without a significant change in cost, but also don't like doubling up costs for the next ~4mo. Is Astraweb...
Nice deal. Don't like the tax rate I have to pay for Amazon stuffs ($12 on this one), but still ends up being under $110 once I use the credits.
