Hello all, I have a pallet of network switches pulled from a working enterprise network, feature self error checking, and can been demonstrated functioning. The units are scuffed up a bit as shown in the pictures, but no dents or serious damage. Open to volume discounts. Shipping not included in...
That is kind of true, but what I am talking about is using a GPU cluster, not server processors. Using a cluster with nVidia's latest technology, they can communicate and share memory/processor resources over the PCI-E interface directly instead of going through the system bus....
And with the...
Yeah, I feel like using a cluster you can run games at settings desktops could never ever reach, and it's not about the price/set (which is important) but about providing a gaming experience superior to anything anyone can get anywhere.
It seems as though you could run BF3 at Ultra settings and...
I am intentionally reviving this thread because I never really got a solid answer, and am more serious about deploying such a system.
I am looking for someone with knowledge of current virtualization software, and am wondering if any of the current off the shelf offerings could take advantage...
Correct Nate, you take the video output from the game and encode it in h264, then the clients just decode that datastream and even Atom proc's can do that.
This is a hypothetical design scenario for now, but it is something that I would like to deploy in my home or in a gaming cafe environment...
That's the point, instead of buying a bunch of gaming PC's which you'll have to upgrade if you want them to be able to play the latest games, you just have the cluster and thin clients and scale that to your load. That way every user gets unbelievable graphics and supercomputer gaming experience...
OK,
I am trying to get a better sense of what it takes to deploy a "cloud" or as [H]'ers like to say, "cluster" for hosting gaming applications with low latency. Moreover, I am interested in a gaming cafe that has a local cluster with thin clients connected so you virtually eliminate network...
PM me if you have a key and have pity on a battlefield fan. I preorderd the game, but it's not from one of the select dealers that are offering beta keys - FML
I got my hands on a surplussed Dell 1908FPc monitor from my work because when you press the power button nothing happens. Since I am a college student, naturally I work two jobs during the summer -- One to pay for school and one to pay for play/hobbies :D At my second job I threw it on the bench...
Thanks fellas! That's exactly what I was looking for. I got it working on my page fine and dandy. I need to see what happens if you try it in IE6, the devils browser.
So, I've seen this script being used all over the net, and I am trying to hunt it down for my personal webpage. An example of this script is used on the Living Legends page here....

BTW: Mech Warrior FTW anyone?! Anyway...
I have a MSI 1221 laptop for sale. It has had very little use and is in like new condition.
The system specs are as follows...
Core 2 Duo 2.20GHz Processor
1GB Ram
12" Widescreen Monitor at 1280x800
Intel Flash Cache Logic Chip
Biometric Fingerprint Scanner
1.3 mega pixel camera at top...
Maybe you could be a little more specific. I am considering picking up a copy because I absolutely loved CoH. I am just trying to figure out why you think it is so awful.
Also, does the improved tank AI affect units in the US and German armies of the original game?
Great work on the case. Did you lay the carbon fiber yourself or did you buy sheets of if somewhere? I am trying to find a good supplier for my upcoming mod.
I think forced 4xAA is overkill. I hope someone will be able to find a hack around that eventually. If my card forced 4xAA on every game I played right now, I wouldn't be able to comfortably play a lot of games.
The A900's are BIG  yet comfortable. Some find the "wing" system kind of awkward, but in general it grows on most people. I would not recommend Grado's for gaming because their soundstage for gaming is very flat. They are awesome for Rock and Roll, but I wouldn't want to be gaming with...
If you don't need the modular the Seasonic 650W would suit you just fine and saves you a few bones.
The only difference I see between them is that Corsair has a 5 year limited warranty vs Seasonics 3 year. If that is something you are concerned about that could be a selling point.
Your headphone choice really depends on the style of music you listen to, and the games that you play (which are FPS). So you want a headphone with a good soundstage for pinpointing footsteps etc. The three that come to mind are the Senn 555's or 595's. The 555's are a pretty good deal for what...
I was rather ticked at Newegg for doing that, but what can you expect.
I am looking for a review from someone (no offense to OP or the guy at head-fi) that isn't just using it for 128bit rate MP3 files, and is using a pair of high quality headphones to see how it compares to its predecessors as...
Taking you serious went out the door when you mentioned magnetic levitation for your case. You are worries about vibrations, but not about magnetic interference apparently.
Gotta love newegg customer reviews. That board looks pretty cheap, and I am sure the components are very low quality. The only advantage I see is freeing up an extra PCI slot, but I have plenty anyway, so...
Edit: I did notice it has digital out, so if you were going to an external DAC, and...
