Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Now look what I have went and done....

By the way I read in this thread somewhere that they were sold out....just checked and Amazon says right now they have 6 but only one from them at this price. Who is gonna get it? :D
Ok you're right...I'm lying.
You might have gotten a CD but, I did not. It came with a card explaining exactly what I wrote in my previous post.
You don't get a copy of XP Pro. It comes installed and that's as far as it goes. They enclose a little card that says, "Your new computer does not require an operating system CD or drivers CD. Instead, if you ever need to reinstall your software, use one of the following methods." The methods...
I just got mine this week as well but have barely had time to get the damn thing out of the box. I did notice the plethora of crap they have installed on it and will probably follow suit by reformatting. Most of that stuff is useless garbage that they put on there to try and get you to spend...
I wouldn't upgrade to this from an MX510 but if you don't already have a high resolution mouse and you are a gamer.....then this is a sweet deal...if you qualify.
Dang...out of stock...
Since this is out of stock over at the w00t site, does anyone know where this can be bought at a decent price (less then the retail adevertised price)?
From Vantec's site....
Q: Why cant I use the NXP-201/205 with my CPU fan?
A: The NXP-201/205 can control the fan itself without issue. However, if the user should unknowingly set the fan speed too low, system could overheat. This is why we do not recommend it.
Here is the link to all...
Me wrong....
j/k but, in this case I'm not wrong, however, Vantec may be wrong because I got every single bit of what I posted from their site based off the nxp201/205. I would rather err on the side of not screwing up my components either way.
I used the 35% off coupon about a week ago and got the 9300 loaded to the gills for a total of $1,860....pretty happy with that even though I swore I would never buy a Dell....
Do NOT try to control your CPU fan with this controller! You risk damaging your CPU!
The controller is able to turn a fan completely off, something you do NOT want to do with a CPU fan.
Adjustable fans can be controlled by the Vantec but as I quoted above, you must set the fan to max...
From Vantec's site...
Q: The product description states that the NXP-201/205 can handle up to 18W per channel. Why does it advise not to use more than one fan per channel?
A: Most people are unaware of the wattage their fans require. Theoretically, you may use more than one fan per channel on...
Would you post a link you know of that provides additional info on lapping for the n00bs out there like me? Would just like to read a bit more about it and maybe see some benches.
Before anyone out there gets a wild hair and tells me to Google it.....insulglass is the expert here and I would...
