I have a MSI Lightning.
I have a 3 screen eyefinity group connected via 3 displayport outputs.
I can pass HDMI audio to my receiver using the DVI->HDMI adapter, but, I can only do this if I enable the receiver as a display, and thus, breaking my eyefinity group.
How can I still send...
I'm coming from AMD. Right now the 7970.
I have a 3 display 120hz setup (Samsung 750D's), with each monitor only having a displayport and hdmi input.
With AMD:
Right now there is only one 7970 card (DirectCU II) that has 3 outputs of all the same type to drive all 3 monitors without screen...
Is Z68's PCI 3.0 faster than P67's 2.x when using two 7970's in xfire?
I'm still confused but from my research, it seams that xfire on either board runs both cards in x8.
Sapphire HD 5870 was released 10/2009
Sapphire HD 5870 Eyefinity 6 was released 3/31/2010
So, given the January 11, 2012 release date of the HD 7970, can we speculate a release date of May'ish for the non-reference sapphire cards?
For reference, here is a list of the non-reference cards...
I've been reading all day and am still confused.
I've picked out 3 x Asus VG278H to run my eyefinity setup.
They are:
1920x1080
120hz TN panels
Inputs: HDMI/DVI
They do NOT have a displayport input.
Would I be able to run them connected to a sapphire 7970 eyefinity 6 card (when released), AND...
So I'm building a gaming only rig and plan to run 3 27" LCD's.
Is it better to go with a 27" 120hz LCD or a 60hz that has great gray-to-gray/response time?
If 120hz is the ticket, what ones have the least amount of latency?
I'm not concerned with colors or bleed.
Thanks!
