Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
For now, there is FortressCraft on xbox.
I don't know of any other sandbox style games that aren't filled with some sort of violence or mature themes (GTA, Oblivion / Skyrim, Fallout, etc).
Do you have any solutions? I've been trying to find a solution to this very problem for my game, which is pixel art from the same side perspective. I don't have the problem of it not being fair, as unless a player has already been to an area, it won't be lit. The extra information on the screen...
You can get acrylic cement at your local hardware store for a few bucks that will bond the plexi/perspex together.
Keep up on the build. It looks nice!
There's playing tactically, and then there is camping. I find this game to have far more campers than any other FPS I've played. Spawning with someone pointing directly at your head is always fun too.
Maybe I'm focusing too much on the relation to my own project. I don't see how I could make pixel art shrink any further. Increasing to any resolution higher than my base, 800x600, is simple (not quite so simple if you didn't want to either scale or let the player see more of the scene).
I...
The forums would be up in arms if a game shipped with a resolution option that made the game entirely unplayable, even if it was a resolution they had zero intention of playing at. Personally, I'd rather not include it as an option if I know it isn't going to work correctly.
A PC game should really support 160x200? Really?
There is a difference between the games graphic engine being capable of running at 160x200, and building a user interface that works just as well at 1920x1080 as 160x200. It may only take 20 extra minutes to get multiple render sizes in place...
I'm not adding support for 640x480 for my game. I'm not going to rebuild the UI to work on something that small. 800x600 is the lowest I will go. Even netbooks have higher resolution than 640x480.
I understand that. With the addition of the physics in Oblivion onward, placing items is a pain in the ass. I'd rather have static placed items than items with no weight flying around the room when you hardly bump them.
It doesn't take all that much memory to have a carry weight and a physical mass variable. Expose the carry weight variable to the player, and use it for calculating how much you are carrying. Use the physical mass behind the scenes to calculate motion. That way heavy things don't go flying...
I meant to refer to the developers implementation using said physics engine. Whether it is the engine or the develops use of said engine, the outcome is still the same: everything gets tossed around as if it has little to no weight. It doesn't have to be a perfect simulation, but it isn't...
I'm not sure if your inbox is full, or just busy with life, but I hadn't gotten any response back after the first PM. Just wanted to post here in case it was an inbox issue. Thanks again for your time.
It always seems like Havok needs to take mass into higher consideration. Cheese wheels are what, 30-80lbs depending on the type of cheese, yet they get blown around like they are made out of styrofoam. It is as though most physics calculations are using distance, time, and an arbitrary force...
I'm not saying you specifically are doing this, but many do. The game may curse, but it isn't directed at you. The disrespectful crap people say/type to one another is ridiculous. One thing to cuss about something, a whole other to treat other players like shit.
I guess people have different definitions of indie games, but how is Bastion an indie game? A few of the guys worked on the Command and Conquer games, among others, and they are published by Warner Brothers. A small studio putting out a game with a style usually seen in the indie scene, sure...
Skyrim and Xenoblade Chronicles make up for my short time in SP with other games. But, they are admittedly outliers.
I understand games cost more now than before, so you can't make a game as long in the same amount of time or for the same amount of money. But, some of these companies are...
I had the same problem with jabbing the spiders, then I realized I was jabbing too forcefully. It was probably throwing off the gyro. Try jabbing with less force. Less of a jab and more of a poke, and it worked perfectly.
I really tried to like this. After eight hours I give up. I love the art style. I like the motion controls. I still feel like they've taken everything I loved about Zelda and washed it all out with stupid fetch quests and random grind just to increase play time.
I'm not sure. But why leave something enabled if it doesn't work? And if you can't tell a difference between it working or not so as to leave it on just in case, then why take the performance hit in the first place?
I don't think there is anything in WHS that can't be done on 7 with some other software/tools. That said, WHS puts it all together and makes it very simple to get setup and going. The way I look at it, if you want to tinker then run a different OS and go at it. If you want to set it and forget...
Set the pick in the location you want. Then turn the torsion wrench. If there is resistance, stop turning the torsion wrench and set the pick to another location. The further it turns before showing resistance the closer to the correct location the pick is. You don't wiggle or anything like...
He probably didn't want any crazy programming techniques; just wanted you to do it out manually. Then when you learn loops, showing you the power of loops verses writing the same thing out multiple times.
I think that is the biggest problem for me. The transition was a huge change. Thinking about it, I do prefer the 2D games over the 3D ones.
Had OoT been a world filled with more, stuff I guess, then I would probably have liked it more. The overworld just felt too empty to me. Everything was...
Bayonetta was a great game. Though my fiancee doesn't think quite so highly of it. Didn't help that she walked in and saw the game for the first time right at the scene where Joy gets introduced and spreads her legs with light erupting from her crotch while she moans and appears to diddle...
If you can enchant, you can take an iron dagger which nearly all the mages seem to carry, use a petty soul stone, and there are several easy to get enchantments that bump the value to near 600g early on. I only seem to sell things for ~1/3 its total value, but it is an easy way to get a few...
Few agree with me, but A Link to the Past was a far better game (and I'd almost say any of the older game boy games as well: Link's Awakening, Ages, Seasons). I can't force myself to keep playing OoT.
I had it on the N64 the day it was in the store, and while decent, just doesn't compare...
They've gone back and forth on it as far as I can tell, as I've cancelled auto-renew through the website at least three times. You had to go through like five or six pages to get there, in some super obscure spot.
Another time I went to do so and it wasn't there any more and I did have to call.
I really don't like all the bobbing of the camera every time he swings his sword. Then again, the bobbing in Stalker makes me feel like I'm going to puke, so I might just be different than everyone else.
Demon's Souls Armor Sets
There are a few that can only be worn by females or males. To be honest, armor doesn't do a whole lot in Demon's Souls. A lot of players don't use any, or the lightest sets they can find. It isn't like Dark Souls where they made armor more useful.
On my female...
That was exactly what he was getting at. He seemed to be pointing at how the tables have turned a bit. But everyone takes design elements from others. Not too much you can do with a simple design and a box, and still have it appeal to a relatively large segment.
I really don't like the stupid...
1. The new one definitely seems quieter / cooler running but that is referring to fan noise. The DVD drives are still noisy.
4. Yes and no. They use a completely different caddy. You can take an old one out of its caddy, and mount it in the new xbox, but you need to use some foam or...
