What are you nerds playing this weekend?

Ace Combat 8 Wings Of Theve.

New BF6 season so need to try that as well, but AC8 will keep me busy for a while.

More borderlands 4, leveling all my toons to 70 and see if I can squeezy in some wow

Finishing up Final Fantasy Tactics (almost at the Deep Dungeon section) and it's a much better game than the original release. Having Cloud start at your average party level was a nice touch (though I still haven't used him much).

One noteworthy thing about this playthrough is that my ROG Ally running Bazzite had frequent crashing and 'controller' mixups (my built-in controllers would lose focus and I'd have to switch to it). I'm assuming it was something related to Bazzite 44 (the update introduced a ton of features), particularly with how the built-in controls are handled. Instead of re-installing Bazzite, I figured it was a good time to try out SteamOS and it's worked flawlessly so far. Not a single crash or controller issue with FFT.

Enjoying a relaxing Sunday afternoon here at the house with Galactic Racer and now starting The Blood of Dawnwalker. I can already tell this is going to be a fantastic game. Feeling that authentic CDPR vibe. Let's go!

Finished FFT Remastered and it was good; Looking back now and recently playing Tactics Ogre Remastered - I'd say Tactics Ogre is the better game. Mostly due to the 5 unit size limit, it bothered me when I originally played the game and it bothers me now.

The story still holds up well enough - it's surprisingly Berserk-like in its themes and content.

Not sure what's next, might try another crack at Death's Stranding (currently downloading it on Steam) and I grabbed a few other titles that I don't remember from my backlog. The Witcher 3 Remastered is another one I might take a closer look at.

I decided to just go ahead and buy all the PC games I was interested in for the rest of the year. If one isn't doing it for me, I can hop to something else. I've got Control Resonant, Galactic Racer (which I've mostly completed), Gears E-Day (Gamepass), Hellraiser, and Valor Mortis.

BroodStar (a shmup from GOG with some procedural generation. different combinations of weapons and options possible each playthrough...)

After church today, spent about an hour tweaking my components to run Titanfall 2 in VR - Hoe Lei COW! I'm running the best solo campaign ever created to get used to it before I try multiplayer. No joke, the first time I stood and looked up at BT, my mind was blown.

Played some THPS3 on the PC, works surprisingly well with an APU's builtin graphics (AM3 iirc). I remember when computers struggled to run SNES emulation. Now you can run PS3 games on a toaster (probably).

Picked up a copy of Two Point Museum, been awhile since I played this type of game and it's enjoyable. Also plays surprisingly well on a handheld (ROG Ally).

I also grabbed a copy of Demonschool, reminds me of a PS1-era Persona game, and really enjoy the combat in it.

But what has really grabbed hold has been the Final Fantasy Resonance demo. That game feels great and is the template I hope Square uses for HD2D remakes of FF I-VI.

CS2 like most weekends, trying to claw my Premier rating back after a rough week. Mixed in a few evenings of Arc Raiders with friends since it keeps coming up in every thread here. Hadn't touched it since launch and it still runs great on my 3070 at 1440p with DLSS Quality.

SeymourGore, interesting about Bazzite vs SteamOS on the Ally. A friend had the same controller focus weirdness on his after an update, going to send him your post.

I've been levelling a Druid in retail WoW since I haven't played it in ages while I wait for Forever to release on the 4th of Nov. In 2 months I'll probably burn myself out and go back to trying to put a dent in my steam library.
