As the thread says when gaming edge opens 100's of tabs I trace it to mouse movement. I googled this issue tried everything still does it. Any ideas?

Are you fully closing Edge? Edge by default runs in the background. In Settings, search for "background" and toggle off "continue running background extensions and apps when Edge is closed" Also look for startup boost and disable. This will ensure Edge is fully closed when you close it.

Or are you using borderless and have Edge up as a browser in the background? If so, try going fullscreen just to see if the issue goes away. It could be a mouse hardware acceleration or Windows rendering issue where your mouse inputs are being transmitted to the desktop say when you middle click.

bigdogchris had tried your suggestions already still does it. Wentinto behaviors and disabled open page on mouse swipes still does it. just opens homepage nothing more no traffic on network idk wtf is going on just anoyed

Im not sure what infection or compromise you have, but stuff like that is almost a sure sign of malicious code or special RATS. ( At least in my experience. )

Since I am no expert in anything I am mostly typing out of personal experience and personal observation of MS EDGE in MS 10/11..

We all would love to see your msconfig information, all running services and hell even a hijackthis log if people still use that. ( Sorry I really don't know if trendmicro/ hijackthis is still updated or relevant.)

Oh and a screen shot of all installed APPS and programs. Though I am terrified to see this for your case/ thread.

I have scoured the internet and have tried everything I believe it might just be from the last windows update

youre the only one ive seen complain about this, so if its an update issue, its not widespread. remove xbox, gamebar, edge for gamebar, and anything related. see if it still does it.

Almost sounds like some kind of program is trying to open up ads but gets blocked after it opens instead of before.

What link are the tabs opening to?

Maybe take a look at task manager and in columns add in command line to see what command or hopefully website was meant to go to once opened.

Sounds like malware. Reinstall windows and nuke it. If you're using any pirated software or games, go legit to avoid reinfection.
