The [H]ardForum Perpetual Freebies Thread

Actually, most of my stuff is actually DDR2 too--I realize I've been working on getting my DDR3 systems into production.
I just started doing some gaming again after a 16 year hiatus, I never finished Ghostbusters 2009 and currently enjoying Doom (2016)

2010 configuration was GA-MA770-DS3 with Athlon x2 5000+ 2 gig of ram, GT-8800 and a Raptor 36 gig hard drive under XP.

2026 is upgraded to dual boot XP & Win10, SSD drives, 750Ti-2GB and 8 GB of ram.

Next is a PCI-Express SSD card for just the games, a quad core 3.2 GHZ CPU and maybe a GTX 960-4GB.

Maybe on the last part; 960 is the last Nvida board supported under XP 32-bit but the amount of video ram may or may not be an issue for the 32 bit OS.

Been playing Doom 2016 and Quake Dawn of the Machine under Win10 which frankly I loath. Getting rid of Microsoft Defender is virtually impossible and I despise it will randomly steal 25% system resources which for an airgapped PC I find unacceptable. When I have a free moment I'm going to load Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and see if both will run, I know Quake will be Doom might not, only one way to find out.

Old fart giveaway! Various laptop rams, SDRAM, DDR and DDRII/PC2 ram.

Free for the price of shipping from 06370 though if some kind soul has a M.2/SATA drive as pictured I could use one for the USB enclosure I have.

Something in the 128/256GB range would be ideal; I had a 256GB from my daughters laptop upgrade and ended up using it as a secondary drive.

Edit: I have some CPU's and some other stuff I'll add in a day or two.

Ram spoken for!!

Long shot (again) - does anyone have PSU cables for CX750M? The grey label. Only have the PSU and lost all the cables. Amazon seems filled with generic cables, and I can't make sense for Corsairs cable table to see what cables I actually need and they are just stupid expensive and just worth buying a new PSU at that point.

Gee, I thought *I* was kicking it old school--three of the four computers in our office are running DDR3 (2nd, 3rd, and 4th gen i5's), and I don't have *anything* running DDR5 yet.

Sounds like me, except with DDR1 and DDR2 hehe. I still don't have anything running DDR4 yet. :ROFLMAO::LOL:

Just pulled this from my card to go back to Air cooling. I know it's kind of for a specific card... so, If anyone wants it, I'll take a beer. 😜 If anything it's very shiny.

Bykski A-XF6900XT-X with backplate. Will need pads.
