Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades 2 (H3VR2) Announced

I was JUST about to post this! Anton had said he'd be doing 1.0 of the original H3VR for a while now and I thought he was just going off to do a new, different game entirely. NOPE, dude is dead set on H3VR and the reason he's done this is due to the ancient-ness of H3VR and it's architecture. He's using the latest tech and setting this game up with a whole team of real programmers. I'm crazy stoked for this!

Yep, including the guy that worked on Vertigo and Vertigo 2, as well as the backing of Meta. I'm excited, looks really cool. Take and Hold isn't really my thing so H3VR has mostly just been a sandbox game for me...which is fine, but this new game looks way more like the campaign experience I'd like to play.

Quite the sleeper hit for VR. Title had a slow build but became a VR fav!
Great to see this positive VT news when most everything is not!
Go go HDH&HG part 2!!
We need ya!

Yeah, this was an OG title for me when I got a Vive. Been around forever. Can't wait for part 2. Take and Hold wasn't really my thing, the new extraction mode looks more interesting to me.

On that note, Anton doesn't really like the Frame (or specifically, the controllers):

Yeah...not terribly thrilled about that info, though I had planned to buy it on both platforms anyway to support the company. I guess that Meta funding came with a cost, and this is it.

Still, being able to play standalone seems pretty cool! I'm excited either way, and the additional dev time should mean the PC version is more robust on launch.

Also, mid-November is a lot sooner than I was thinking anyway, I figured it would be at least 2027 for an initial release.
