DLSS evolves today with the release of NVIDIA DLSS 5 with 3D-Guided Neural Rendering, infusing games with lifelike lighting and materials using advanced artist-guided AI models.

DLSS 5 is available now in the newly-released NBA 2K27. To use DLSS 5 in-game, download the new driver through NVIDIA App , or from GeForce.com .
Additionally, today’s driver also optimizes your system for Onimusha: Way of the Sword.

Guess there is a dimming and flickering issue with this driver Even on Windows 11 Desktop with the Chrome browser. Which happened on the previous set but I never noticed it myself.

I have it - it's similar effect to monitor backlight going in/out which is always what scares me 😱
 
FYI - the previous driver (and these) broke virtual displays. So if you use something like Moonlight/Apollo, don't use these until they fix the issue. They acknowledged it and it should come in a hotfix hopefully soon.

GeForce Hotfix Display Driver version 616.86 is based on our latest Game Ready Driver 616.64.This hotfix addresses the following:
  • FIXED Intermittent flicker may be observed in browsers when navigating to certain websites [6673430]
  • FIXED Fixed an issue where virtual displays could not be created after updating to driver 616.56 [6674464]
  • FIXED Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) sessions may display a black screen after updating to driver 616.56 [6687328]
Reminders:
  • Hotfix driver will not be available in NVIDIA App and needs to be downloaded from the link above.
  • After installing the Hotfix driver, NVIDIA App will show some old driver date. This is normal as Hotfix driver does not exist in NVIDIA App database and it reverted to an old default changelog and dates.
  • If you do not care about the fixes listed, this Hotfix driver is no different vs WHQL 616.64 Driver.
  • These fixes will be incorporated into the next WHQL driver release

NVIDIA Hotfix Driver Version 616.86​

These are ok I don't get any weird visual feedback where I want to switch back. I didn't even try the 1st set I posted why fight it install the drivers that actually work

Starting the system up cold, takes forever for the monitor to bring up the log in screen.

No issues once the monitor gets recognized.
May roll back on the 9800x3d box.

No issues with the 270k box.
 
Hotfix driver seems to fix flickers on Chrome, but if I open Edge it still flickers unless I turn off hardware acceleration or set ANGLE to D3D11 WARP (software rendering w/ CPU).
 
I get lockups with chrome while trying to Copy and Paste text. People on Reddit are still having browser issues I'm going to revert back to 3 sets prior 610.88

I got this issue with driver 616.56. I found the fix was to enable the 10 bit color for me. It never affected my older Asus monitor, only my newer LG. The Asus monitor does not have 10 bit color. Facebook was really bad about having the darkened screen and flickering or flashing.
