We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.

Nexus Mods buys Steamdb

Steamdb is basically just steam data views that are completely automated so we shouldn't have to worry about it being moderated.

My guess is they add the same sort of advertisements all over the place that nexus mods has.
I would think no changes will be made to the site.

If they do make changes I'm guessing it will be for the worse.

The SteamDB creator thought that NexusMods is a trustworthy place to keep it going.

RIP Steamdb.

To this day I still wish someone else would start up a competitor to Nexus Mods. That place is the shitshow of shitshows. This goes beyond the censorship and obvious political leanings. The site itself is terrible. Navigating that place is hell and that's not even considering all the ads and videos. A replacement is sorely needed for every reason imaginable.

There’s a couple of places, but nothing with the depth that nexus mods has. I had a sub there for a while, but then they got political and started banning stuff they didn’t like and increased their price to be way above acceptable (I suspect Visa and Mastercard maybe have also leaned on them to remove certain mods.) They’re also based in England so have to deal with that insane political situation.

AyakaMods is probably the biggest independent mod hoster that calls out NexusMods all of the time.

They reach out to the banned mod creators all of the time to see if they still want them hosted. Such keeps me happy when I see people supporting freedom of choice with modding.
