yeah this game was pretty intimidating at first, when I got a sense of how saves work and how bad at combat I was lol.. ngl.. but it's so so beautiful ... so I added a few mods which made a huge difference for me personally... F5 to save anytime has been the most helpful. Also some reduction in the crafting time and rebalanced damage. Those really helped me enjoy the whole game a lot more without taking much of the immersion away... and I know this is meant to be a simulation of medieval life... but alas it is a game and I wanted these QoL features in my game. and again damn it is so impressive what they did with that Crytek engine. I still find myself wandering about just gazing at the landscape and all of the little details.. wow!
edit: I am still pretty early on.. I just saved pavlena (peacefully... sort of) and settled the land dispute (peacefully)... I need to get my horse and find mutt now.
The game runs buttery smooth at 1440p ultrawide res with ultra presets 240fps cap.. it is one of the better running games I have played in a while with all of it's IQ glory enabled also! The engine is very snappy, great smooth feel while moving around / minimal latency.
