I originally borrowed a copy of GTA5 from a friend on the internet a couple years ago, ngl :p, modded the shit out of it and played for a good 10 or so hours and then deleted it. I don't even remember why, just lost interest I guess. Then I actually bought it on steam a short while afterwards, again modded the hell out of it, played it for 59 minutes and refunded it lmao, and again not sure why 🤷‍♂️ (steam shows last played Dec. 29th, 2023 on the Legacy version). Now I've once again re-repurchased it, this time the Enhanced Edition while it was on sale and have been running it with the new NVE Enhanced mod. Credit to the creator(s) of this, I think it's very well done. It makes the vanilla Enhanced version seem quite lacking honestly. In the comparison videos I've watched there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of difference in many scenes between the two, legacy vs. enhanced version.

I started to get nostalgic for the GTA games back when I was playing Red Dead II. It made me miss the atmosphere of these games and all the chatter and wacky shit. I left off with Vice City back in the early 2000's on PS2. Never played San Andreas, IV or Five. I'm most def gonna play this through to the end. Now that I got some much more comfortable controls, I'm actually quite fond of flying the planes and heli's. I probably crashed the first flying mission a couple dozen times in a row, just like I did initially a couple years ago lmao. You know you're playing a Rockstar PC game when you got to bust out a secondary mouse with more buttons and reconfigure all the keystrokes and sensitivity in the software as well as still make changes to your keybinds hours into the game lol.

^ This shot looks like 1985, though the white minivan? off to the left side looks a little too modern. kinda crazy anyway...

^ It's basically the Enhanced Edition with the NVE Enhanced mod. Then just SimpleCamera 1.5 for screenshots.

Some DLSS5 shots from Cyberpunk.

I'm getting 45FPS at 4k with DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction and DLSS 5 Neural Rendering. I'm using 3x Frame Generation to get 120FPS. I have a lot of 8k and 4k texture mods and I'm using Ultra plus with 95% of their recommended mods. Since the character skins were not made with DLSS5 in mind, you have to be careful what you use or it will make the neural rendering look overexaggerated. With some experimentation, I'm pretty happy with how this looks and plays at the moment.

The thing that really impresses me is how smooth it runs. Not a single micro-stutter and it looks and feels like 120FPS in most other games. I can hardly believe how this looks and feels with sub 60 frame rates. It's almost magical what Nvidia and CDPR pulled off. The mod community deserves a lot of the credit as well. This game is approaching STALKER levels of modification these days.

Here are a couple of comparison shots that I put together for Stalker 2. The first image is DLSS 4 and the second is DLSS 5. Once again, it's a generational difference in quality, I would recommend downloading them and switching between the two images in real time to see how drastic of a difference it really makes. I'm seeing about 50 FPS with all settings on epic at 4k with DLAA and Neural Rendering. with 2x FG I get 100FPS. DLSS Quality mode is above 60FPS which gives me a solid 120FPS at 4k with Neural Rendering enabled and everything pushed to the max with 2x FG.

DLSS 4
Large changes in shadow quality and fine detail on the concrete road. Major improvements in occlusion realism across the board, see the side of the house for example. The fence planks are also occluded much better and show more fine detail. The way light bounces off the car rooftop is also noticeably more realistic with DLSS 5

DLSS 4
The fine details on the gun and especially the grass in the near view, also lighting and shadow differances.

Check out the quality of the glass bottles, the cup near the front of the image and the character's face are all much improved.

Here is a nice looking, stand-alone shot with DLSS 5.

BTW, all of my shots for Cyberpunk and Stalker 2 should be viewed on an HDR enabled monitor in order for them to look correct.
