Guerrilla Games has finally unveiled its upcoming online co-op action game: Horizon Hunters Gathering...announced over four years ago, the game features a stylized, slightly cartoonish look...in the game, players form the titular Gathering, an elite crew of hunters serving as the last line of defense against machines that grow more dangerous by the day...the narrative is fully canon within the Horizon universe

Guerrilla's Game Director Arjan Bak reassured fans that they're not going to stop making new single player Horizon games, however, the team wanted to try something different this time around...coming to PS5 and PC...

I'm not a fan of co-op but I do like the animation/art style for this game

I'd give it a shot, I really like Horizon (and Monster Hunter).

If I play online at all, it's a PvE Co-op game, and I loved HZD and slightly less so Forbidden West. This looks interesting, but all of the "modern audience" tropes are putting me off now. It seems it's not being too well received on Youtube at least as well.

I'm interested, but the gameplay will have to be stellar to pull me away from Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Gelactic, and Arc Raiders that are in my current rotation for co-op.

Zelda Wind Waker graphics Pantheon did the same thing went from real to comic like.

I do like their engine, it works quite well while looking nice with minimal stuttering. Shame it is not being used on anything worth playing anytime soon, except Death Stranding 2 when that comes to PC.

How many billions does Sony need to lose before giving up on trying to get that Fortnite money?
Don't forget they still have Fairgame$ coming out (supposedly). So they want to lose all the billions.

Rule of thumb these days is that if a game accentuates purples and magentas in its design = toilet bowl brimming with virtue signaling excrement.

As someone who always wanted to play them, Killzone remakes would be nice. Or a reboot. Resistance Fall of Man series I would also be interested in seeing revived.

Sony needs to get back to their roots of story driven single player games. Online games that are on all platforms do the best anyways; leave that market to 3rd parties.

Or the inFAMOUS games. The first one was excellent, never played the sequel, but remasters of both would be easy money for Sony especially in light of news that it has grossed 1.5 billion from Steam sales.

Oh wow the character designs are something else. When you try to make a game for everyone, you make a game for no one.

The world is healing.

I wonder if Western dev studios are commiting some kind of insurance fraud at this point or something. Otherwise I don't know how they're able to keep releasing these flops when their audience clearly isn't interested in them.

Intergalactic is another clear example.

No normal guys (the main demographic for games) wants to play as a masculin, gay, and/or unattractive looking female. Aloy in these games is ok because she is mostly attractive despite them fattening her up a bit in the sequel, but then they made her gay in the DLC (which was pretty much forshadowed by them making her "mom" gay in her back story - because of course sexual preference isn't a choice or influeced at all by your environment or experiences).

Looks lame. It might be okay but the art design for an established IP like Horizon is an interesting choice. Even though it is online do people really want the Horizon universe to look like a cartoon? Seems like they are setting themselves up for failure.

I like the visuals but it doesn't feel like the Horizon Zero Dawn I'm used to

It's the popular trend syndrome. Everything needs to look like Fortnite because that's what's popular with the kids.
