I know I don't.You think you don't
Are you monitoring frametime?I know I don't.
I never look at that data. Why does it matter if you don't notice it in the course of normal gameplay? I play games, not obsess over numbers. Are you monitoring frametime?
but but if you dont monitor it how are you going to know if you have stuttering that you never ever experience?!I never look at that data. Why does it matter if you don't notice it in the course of normal gameplay? I play games, not obsess over numbers.
In before "see, you don't actually know."
It doesn't matter at all, I was just curious. I had almost zero stutter on my 4080S. I think I noticed like 3 instances, 2 of which happened before I started fucking around with mods but I also only played for like 20 hours so it could have been worse in other areas.I never look at that data. Why does it matter if you don't notice it in the course of normal gameplay? I play games, not obsess over numbers.
In before "see, you don't actually know."
Well, there is a practical difference.I never look at that data. Why does it matter if you don't notice it in the course of normal gameplay? I play games, not obsess over numbers.
In before "see, you don't actually know."
Well, there is a practical difference.
If you are simply lucky enough to not be able to perceive frame time dips thst others can't ignore, then your comment adds nothing to the discussion, and the statement "I'm not getting any stutters" is wrong. The correct statement is "I don't notice any stutters"
If your particular hardware and software set up is such that there are OBJECTIVELY no issues where the vast majority (and so far, ALL who have objectively measured) of the other players ARE experiencing those issues, you may have the key to understanding how to resolve the issues.
Kinda looks like a dithering feature of the game engine that a developer would have to change.Does anyone know what setting in this game will help this screen door effect? I've seen it on other UE based games and usually the Post Processing set to the highest will fix this, but it doesn't seem so in this game. I can't even tell if it is applying the settings correctly because I'm having soem of them (like frame cap) that reset every time I restart the game.

Post #47, last one as of this moment.
This was a waste of $$ for me. I loved Oblivion years ago but quickly got bored playing the remaster. Just couldn't get into it anymore. Think I played less than 20 hours.
You actually expect that much from Bethesda? Selling you broken games while letting the community fix the issues while they are laughing all the way to the bank is the norm for Bethesda.Man I think back to this game every now and then and how disappointed I was with this remaster.
The UI is a downgrade compared to the original and it still has many bad bugs. I was so excited for it, Oblivion is my favorite TES game. I just wanted updated combat and a difficulty & leveling system that wasn't terrible. Instead we got better graphics but a worse UI, and the leveling while they did try to improve it feels like they didn't test it at all because its busted. Really bummed about it. No good mod support either.
What is worse is they totally teased us with updates, asking for feature requests and such. Just to give us molasses paced updates that barely addressed anything. They did my favorite game dirty.
There's a bit of stockholm syndrome going on with folks who keep buying their gamesYou actually expect that much from Bethesda? Selling you broken games while letting the community fix the issues while they are laughing all the way to the bank is the norm for Bethesda.

But the game on PC seems like it's been abandoned. https://www.ign.com/articles/bethes...crolls-iv-oblivion-remastered-patch-is-coming
I think its a case of a design that hasn't aged well. Not only that, but its just like everything else that both Bethesda and Obsidian has done for the last two decades. Meaning, the gameplay isn't nostalgic, its tired. Couple that with the fact that moving it off the Creation Engine means that it won't get the same mod treatment other Bethesda games get and you've got a recipe for a huge let down. This was a waste of $$ for me. Agreed. It's a studio that doesn't ever learn or progress. If anything, they are regressing. They've used the same game design for two decades. It never changes. Loading screens can often be removed by mods showing you that these were deliberate design decisions. Same camera angles, wooden animations, blocky character designs, awful dialog, awful animations, mediocre combat systems. Compared to newer games like Cyberpunk 2077 and others, Bethesda games are clunky and old fashioned. The only thing that ever seems to improve with Bethesda games is the graphics. Yeah i get that, I'm saying I'm skeptical of the patch. I should've been more clear.the article you linked says: "Bethesda has confirmed a patch for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is on the way"
I guess the good thing is you'll never be disappointed since they'll never actually release it!Looking forward to Skyblivion far more than I would ever look forward to an official elderscrolls game
