WTT Thread: https://hardforum.com/threads/wttf-wtb-2230-ssd-512gb-or-larger.2047130/#post-1046301806

Format _C: requested to trade a 2280 size 512GB NVMe drive for a 512GB 2230 sized NVMe drive.

I sent him a 2230 512GB NVMe SSD - he received it over 2 months ago.

He did say that he would take about 2 weeks to get his end of the cross trade shipped out.

It's now been 2.5 months and when asked I him about the cross shipping status, he offered two 512GB 2280 NVMe drives to make up for the delay.
Another week goes by, he said he is too busy to ship, but would send me money by paypal to cover the value of the item instead.

I give him my paypal payment info, and then he says "sorry I don't have the money".
Today, he said he shipped out his end of the cross trade, WITHOUT a tracking number to prove it.

He is still active on this forum, and he even asked about obtaining car parts in the Freebie Section: https://hardforum.com/threads/the-h...ebies-thread.1275498/page-306#post-1046338022
He said he has had health problems / hospitalizations, but suddenly he has no problem going out to check out a car for parts. I would guess that being hospitalized wouldn't give you the time to pick out used car parts possibly from out of state.

His story just isn't adding up to me and I didn't want to resort to opening a thread about this.

He said that it may take him around 2 weeks to complete the cross ship trade, but now its been 2.5 months, and he's been giving me excuse after excuse.

That sucks. Hopefully everything turns out okay. He's pretty active and has pretty good buyer/seller feedback (just not as active in that regard for the year).

That's the thing, he said he's been hospitalized and such, but has been quite active on this forum and I gave him time. But he had no problem liking a post about free car parts... which would involve a trip out and parting out a car involves physical labor.

At this point, I prefer him to send me money by Paypal to cover the cost of the item, since he offered to just pay me. I don't even know if his cross trade item will even be in working condition, considering how poor this trade attempt has gone. I want this exchange finalized now at market value + cost of my shipping. The $ amount over Paypal was exchanged in our DM's.

I sold him that surface laptop gen 3, more like freebie due to screen defects. I've sold to him on numerous occasions, I hope he can come in here and clear all this up. 2.5+ months is too long.

He's liked a lot of stuff, him liking a post doesn't mean he's interested in buying/getting something. I've done that several times myself in fs/t because I think something is cool and priced well.

It's been 24 hours since he was last active on this forum. He stopped activity after I said I was going to make a thread in this section.
So far, no update from him.

I don't want this to reflect badly on me over a single SSD. It was something he agreed to trading and he said it would take "approx 2 weeks" to cross ship on his end.

Way more than 2 weeks passes by so I kept asking for an update.

Then he said "I'll give you two nvme's to make it up for the long wait"
Then "okay I'll just pay you by paypal"
then "I don't have the money"
then "my friend shipped it out" - no tracking number

I just started working at an Amazon DSP and its shitty as hell and I'm having a rough time getting acclimated to the workload. I'm not in the best mood.

I told him I'd either accept the value of the item + the cost of shipping by paypal, or just ship me back my original 2230 512GB NVMe. I don't really trust the quality of his trade item at this point. Cause if his items don't even work, this thing will drag on even longer.

Ok here I am He did ship it out Monday! I was not able to contact him yet as he works long hours
You are going to get two NVMes for the one that you sent me!
This is not going to reflect badly on you at all this is all on me at this point!
Yes I have been sick and as said in post #6 I just liked it because I found it a neat post I have no intention of traveling far to part out a car I just liked the post because I like cars.

This seems to be working itself out so Im going to close it.
