Stellar Blade: Blood Rain

Liked the last one, looking forward to this one. Would have thought it would carry directly over from the last game though, particularly the secret ending.
 
cool. I still have yet to play the first one, been waiting for a sale. I'll probably get to it this year anyway. Looks steam/cyber- punky
 
This looks absolutely freaking bad ass. The Cyberpunk on steroids vibe of the city is definitely a spectacle. The dive gave me Ghost in the Shell vibes.
 
looks much better than the original...less of a focus on the female and more of a focus on the world, graphics, story etc...looks more like a Cyberpunk sequel than a Stellar Blade sequel

this is self-published hence the reason it's coming to PC and not a PS5 timed exclusive...no more adhering to their Sony overlords...the trailer alone gives off a different vibe...you even admitted that yourself in your earlier post...just compare the trailer for the first game to the new one

the first trailer had an anime Asian porn vibe to it...plenty of games/movies have been different from their originals...just look at Control Resonant...or a movie such as Aliens vs the original Ridley Scott Alien

It looks similar, just that the main character looks like a teenager, which is kind of creepy. Not a fan of the androgynous look either. The jiggly parts are still there so if you were offended by the first game, you'd likely be offended by this one.

What little we see of the gameplay looks similar.

They certainly do look creepy. Looks like a child. Not a fan of the boyish looking face either. I'm assuming they made the character look more like a feminine boy to appease people who disliked the first game's design, but they I think those people will still be offended regardless.

I will say character design does matter, and I'm not into the child look. Or the weird androgynous look.

I'm sure the gameplay itself will be solid. Just a crappy character design, IMO.

you said she wasn't sexualized in the previous game...she was and anybody with a brain can see that...in Blood Rain it seems it's being toned down...the sexual elements are still there but it doesn't appear to be the main draw...the liquid metal outfit is still revealing but doesn't look at slutty as the previous game...it looks more like a mechsuit versus lingerie or naked skin...the Shift Up CEO is saying both things at once...he's saying that the game is emphasizing combat over her physical appearance...but he also says that the outfits will still be revealing

cool I hope so...you've said that multiple times before...I said she doesn't look AS sexualized in this game...read properly...the world, combat etc seem to be the focus this time versus the female

there's nothing wrong with hot females in a video game...I loved Poison Ivy and Talia al Ghul in the Arkham games...but their hotness was not the focus...the game did not revolve around that aspect...if the game's main draw is the gooner outfits then it becomes less of a game and more titillation

Yes...it's self published by developer Shift Up so no PS5 exclusivity...the trailer even says 'Captured on PC...In-Game footage'

What you're portraying here isn't showing any indication that you're "representing gooners" ... which in itself is incredibly silly since nobody in here is claiming to be a gooner.
