What Happened to the 9950X3Dv2?

Turn off onboard graphics in bios if not already done. Give a screenshot of Ryzen Master home screen minus histogram to expose all memory settings.
 
Integrated graphics is disabled. This is my first Ryzen with two chiplets so I'm not sure if I had/have something in the BIOS set wrong. I just changed to EXPO 1 from EXPO Tweaked. Ryzen Master is choppy as well. I'm not sure if it's normally like that.

Very strange. There's nothing to tweak - at all. With 9950X3D and especially with 9950X3D2 (it was 7950X3D that needed more "kid gloves").

Do mem checks see if your RAM is good? When I had stutter it turned out I had a bad mem slot on the board. I just "dealt with it" for quite some time until finally some commenter on YouTube (I just post NVIDIA highlights from Fortnite matches with detailed hardware specs shown so people can get an idea of performance with different hardware) was like dude with your hardware you should have xx% frames more - I dug in via tests and yeah turned out bad mem slot as both sticks worked fine in the good slot.

Another easy one - do a DDU clean install (download it, go to safe mode, run it (clean uninstall video drivers), boot into normal Windows, install fresh NVIDIA drivers - or AMD if that's your flavor) - I've had it where a dll or two didn't register or some crap. It takes about 15 minutes to do so that is an easier check than running hours of memory checks.
 
In some rare situations you need to get Msi Utility v3.exe, and to set high priority for build-in audio that cause stutters.

Try process lasso. It might solve stuttering because you can lock your game to a fixed and permanent affinity assignment.

I used P. Lasso back in the earlier thread ripper days to reign in horrible gaming performance due to windows managing cores like a bastard.
 
Just reading the "subject", I'd say the 9950x3D2 is on everyone's "shortlist", much like multiple 5090s, 16TB of NVMe and 512GB of DDR5.

On the more serious side, just a bit longer (6-8mos?) and you'll have Zen 6, which will make the 3D2 products (and many Zen 5 products) very obsolete. If you can wait a bit.

Set CPPC Preferred Cores in BIOS to "driver"
Make sure you have "balanced" power profile set in windows
Make sure XBOX game bar is running (win+G)

Ram is 600% Mafia price spiked right now. In 6 months we'll be looking at 1000% proce increase. The federal govt investigation into price fixing will take at least 5 to 7 years because its the govt. They will fine them like a billion for being bad mmmmkay. And they will laugh because they made 99 billion more in all that time.

So zen 6 will be a low selling chip because 16gb ram will be higher than a 5090 gpu.

No shit, my system with very similar parts got a bad case of nvlddmkm not long after upgrading to the 9950X3D2 as well. I thought it was related at first and then thought other components (PSU, GPU, RAM) were going bad or causing trouble. I spent hours troubleshooting, but every torture test passes with no issue, no fixes via swapping parts or updating drivers. Rough specs are 9950X3D2, Asus X870e ProArt, RTX 4090 FE, 96gb - nvidia crashes started only after a driver update a couple months ago but haven't resolved even swapping parts/rolling back drivers. Basically I just get these weird/random nvlddmkm crashes that occur only when gaming but it is inconsistent and not repeatable. Extremely annoying because the nvidia driver doesn't recover and the system needs a hard reset to resolve.

I'll have to look into this MPO BS, maybe that will sort whatever is wrong with these godawful Nvidia drivers.

The 9950X3D2 is monster though, I was on a 7700X before and it is noticeably faster in everything (as it should be), but worth mentioning if anyone else is on the fence and running a non-X3D Zen 4.

You can try using DDU to uninstall the NVIDIA driver, reinstall it, and then reinstall the audio driver. If the problem persists, try disabling MPO.
Sometimes, increasing or decreasing the FCLK frequency can also help.

** In “Device Manager,” you'll see a device labeled “AMD 3D V-Cache.” Check to see if there's an exclamation mark next to its icon; if there is, you'll need to fix it, which can sometimes be complicated.
