Anyone that knows me here on [H], knows I like building retro-PCs for old-school gaming. If you don't know me, well now you do. :)

Anyhow, I am looking for 4x2gb DDR2 for an eMachines PC I rescued. Want to max out the RAM,a PCI-E Low-Profile SFF GPU and micro-ATX PSU. The integrated nVidia 6150LE GPU is utter garbage. Won't even run Quake 2 @800x600 higher than 20FPS.

Let me know what you have and your price. Heatware: merlin704. I don't use it often unless someone requests feedback. Quite a few members can vouch for me including FrgMstr and Dan_D .

Have a blessed day everyone! :)

EDIT: OS will be Win Vista Home Premium. Again, this PC will just be used for retro gaming. Nothing more, nothing less. Only changes I am wanting to make is the hardware I am looking for.

You might want to specify what OS you are using(for driver compatibility) and what performance level that you are targeting. Displayport/HDMI/Dsub/DVI connector preferences help as well.

The last nvidia Vista 64 drivers had these options as the best nvidia cards for Vista:

I listed that I am looking for something low-profile and SFF that will run off the PCI-E x16 slot WITHOUT external power.
The list includes those models of GPUs. Everything made after early 2015 probably will not work with Vista BTW. It assists the potential sellers having that data. This includes the last Catalyst supported cards as well, all early 2013 from what I can tell.

I used one of these in a Core 2 Duo E8400 powered Gateway SFF I just revived for a friend to do some XP gaming on, and it's turning out to be an OK card for the less then 20 dollars they sell for. (Dell 0CNRTY GT730 low-profile with 2GB GDDR5).....

I don’t have one, but a Quadro K2200 could be a solid fit for that. Low profile GTX 750 Ti-equivalent with 4GB RAM, can be found on eBay for around $35 shipped or less. I even got Doom Eternal running on one tolerably well at 720p.

I can probably dig up a gt720, but I think the ones I get are pcie x4 or x8 slots, not x16
