I was wondering if it is possible to turn the fans on manually? I appreciate the design but even when I'm not gaming the card gets a bit warm/hot to the touch and it would be nice to put the fans on when I feel it's needed.

Yeah, I use EVGA's Precision X1 tool on my Zotac 2080 and it works much better than Zotac's own tool. What's funny too is that the LED controls don't work on Zotac's tool, but they do on EVGA's, lol.

Haven't tried MSI's tool, is that any better somehow?

Gigabyte's own Auros Engine has fan controls. It's not as robust as MSI Afterburner, but has many of the same features (e.g. custom fan curve, custom profiles).

I have the Auros Engine, haven't opened it since downloading. I opened it up and bam the fans cam right on. I'm still going to check out Afterburner and see how that works.
