It all looks good to me! :) Yes, that SSD will speed up booting and game loading times. I put my OS and only the few games that I am currently playing and the rest goes on the HD.
Good luck!

So what difference will you see from a M.2 SATA III vs the PCIE 3.0 SSD ?

NewEgg has a GTX 1080 on sale this weekend for $580:

$579.99 - MSI DUKE 8G OC GTX 1080 (sales price, expires 5/20)

If you buy it this weekend, you'd save $100 from what you could buy from SuperBiiz.

As for the hard drive, since it's not your primary drive, you can save some money with a different model:

$62.99 - WD Blue WD20EZRZ 2TB SATA 6.0Gb/s hard drive

Since we're in cost-cutting mode, you can swap out the SSD with no noticeable loss in performance:

$109.99 - WD Blue WDS500G2B0B 500GB M.2 SSD

Oh look... RAM's on sale:

$159.99 - Ballistix Sport LT BLS2K8G4D26BFSEK 8GBx2 DDR4 2666 RAM (sale price, expires 5/21)

You can also swap out the EVGA SuperNOVA for the EVGA GQ for additional savings. You'd lose the fully modular design for a semi-modular one, but hey! No rebates.

$69.99 - EVGA 650 GQ 210-GQ-0650-V1 650 watt semi-modular PSU (plus $5.99 shipping) (sale price, expires 5/27)

Assuming that the prices to the rest of your build remain the same, my recommended part swaps should drive your overall cost down to under $1500 before taxes, shipping, or rebates. There are, however, two caveats with my choices:

1) you have to buy some of the parts (that are on sale) this weekend; and
2) my choices were based on prioritizing cost savings over performance (or overclockability).

If you want to give yourself the option to overclock in the future, then you'd need a better motherboard with more overclocking features, faster memory, and a better CPU cooler.

You should also consider one of the NewEgg combo deals for the Intel Core i7-8700K. You could obtain an upgrade in overall parts quality without paying a huge price premium (over buying the parts individually).

Well, this is what I am looking at at the moment...Going for the Custom build instead of the pre-made ones. (although they have some good deals)
I Forgot how to do the links like you have done..listed below.

EVGA SuperNOVA G2 650 watt PSU
NZXT S340 ATX mid-tower case
MSI GeForce GTX 1080 ARMOR Overclocked video card
G.Skill Ripjaws V 2x8GB DDR4-3200 RAM
Intel Core i7-8700K processor
Gigabyte Z370 AORUS ULTRA GAMING WIFI ATX motherboard
WD Black 2TB SATA 6Gb/s HDD
WD Blue 500GB M.2 SSD
2x Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm Case Fan
Corsair Air Series SP120 LED Blue High Static Pressure Fan - Twin Pack
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo

I believe that your spending is a bit out of whack.

If you're spending all of that money for case fans, I recommend that you instead spend some of that extra money on a better CPU cooler (like the Corsair H100i or the Noctua NH-D15). Additionally, the NZXT S340 comes with two 120mm case fans, so the extra fans may be (IMO) overkill for your cooling. (You can keep the Corsair Air twin pack; the Noctua fans are definitely overkill for use as case fans.)

In fact, you should go for a better CPU cooler than the Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO since you're buying a motherboard and RAM set that are optimized for overclocking.

Personally, I don't believe in using after-rebate amounts when you're on a fixed budget. You don't receive the savings until weeks after you buy everything -- and in some instances, you may not receive anything at all. If you really want to keep your build under a certain budget, then I recommend that you use some of the deals from my earlier post. Micro Center has some good deals, but they're not all good deals.

Also, do you live near a physical Micro Center store? Most of those discounts only apply when you buy your parts in-store.

I don't believe that the WD Black is more worthwhile as a hard drive than its WD Blue sibling. Over the years, performance benchmarks have shown little difference between the two models and even a low-tier SSD would outperform both drives. In this case, save your money and choose a WD Blue hard drive instead.

Regarding your earlier question about the differences between the different versions of the GTX 1080, I don't believe that you'll notice them. Any version of the GTX 1080 that you buy would provide a notable improvement in gameplay over what you're currently using. That's the more important gaming metric.

Yes, I live close to a microcenter-Houston

The Blue you listed in your post was a 5400RPM drive I just do not like that.( IMHO )

Wow I was just looking at the hydro series

I didn't realize that the 2TB WD Blue was 5400 RPM. My bad.

I thought that the 2TB WD Blue has the same spindle speed as the 1TB WD Blue, which I've now discovered has two model numbers. (The 7200RPM version of the 1TB WD Blue is WD10EZEX.)

Disregard my earlier recommendation.

Let me revise my earlier recommendation: Keep the Corsair Air twin-pack if you're going with the Noctua NH-D15. (I recommend that you use them to light the front of the case instead of the rear as you originally intended.)

If you go with the Corsair H100i, however, you can mount the radiator (and its two 120mm fans) in either the front or the top of the case. You can then move that second S340 fan to the opposite location from the radiator (front intake fan if the H100i is mounted at the top, or top exhaust fan if the H100i is mounted at the front). Keep the rear S340 fan where it is.

I am now thinking of going with the H100i. It will all depend on what Microcenter says... the H100i is on sale and if they give me the extra $20 off for buying with a Cpu(which I bought the other day). Then the total will be $89 for the H100i...same as the Noctura.

on another note I was looking at this 512GB M2 NVMe($119 great deal ?).....just never heard of the maker Inland/Phison ?
