eBay 15% sitewide May 4th 8am - 4pm PST

It was hard to use even during the sale. The website kept having issues for lots of people

It happens but honestly he is blaming the seller. Seller would get shafted for canceling the listing someone else has bought. Its a no no. Life is already hard for sellers on ebay. One cant blame the seller for it.

Couldn’t find anything I wanted to buy yesterday. Then a part in one of our 3d printers crapped out last night....could’ve saved 100. Oh wells.

Really? You went ahead and registered a GPU for RMA that you didn't even have in your hand. Do you know the seller would be screwed by canceling the order and get dinged and get negative feed back and relist to sell it to you? Really? I wouldn't do it either. Life happens, not my fault you didn't buy in time.

On the other hand seller has the right to be pissed off for you registering that gpu you haven't purchased. Common man, world doesn't work the way you want it to work. I can't believe you admitted everything you shouldn't have done and you will had the balls to tell the seller to pull the item from someone else and relist it for you. ROFL!

I bought it first...I had confirmation from eBay that I bought it. I asked the seller if it went through and sent him a picture of the site showing I had bought it. It was mine. Done deal on my end. eBay screwed up, I even asked if he could contact eBay. Nope, wouldn't do shit for me despite all I had in my favor. I registered the card after I bought it, sure I didn't have it but who cares? It was mine, I bought it, had he not shipped it or something that would be on him. Fuck'em. He could have done more for me that "Sorry you didn't get it"...no...I DID GET IT.

I thought about telling EVGA but screw it, he wasn't willing to help me for shit so he get screwed. If the buyer tried doing the same thing then he's "taking advantage" of the RMA process too...if not and they're trying to self repair then no harm no foul. At the end of the day things were in my favor and he didn't care or want to do anything for me. I don't care to do shit for him.

If you want to think poorly of me that's fine, but you weren't there, you weren't excited and stoked about it all, you didn't get screwed over and told "tough luck". He wanted to be a noncooperative ass then so can I.

What you fail to understand is seller played no part in it. Seller is not a big corporation. Sellers get the worst end of the stick on ebay. Seller had no control over eBay's screw up. You are taking it out on the seller while its not his fault. Everything else you may be right about but you can't blame the seller for the sale. You can call me cruel, I would never cancel a sale on someone because of ebay fucked up or whatever. Its my reputation on line. I see your order it says the payment failed. I don't know what you mean by you had confirmation, going through the paypal screen is not confirmation. If it had been sold to you it can't be sold to anyone else unless the seller was selling 2 items. I don't believe this thing about you bought it but some how it got taken away from you. Just doesn't work like that.

Just doesn't work like that.

Sure it does. If someone bought something off me and something screwed up while they could show that they did in fact buy it and were there first I'd call eBay or take the hit to make things right. I showed the guy I got it, I literally hit "Confirm" after placing all my info in the order and eBay showed "Purchased"...only for an hour later to just remove and cancel it. Like I said, I bought it, it was mine, site fucked up for whatever reason that isn't my fault (if you sell there you should have to ebb and flow with issues, I would), he didn't give a shit. So, again, I don't give a shit. He even asked me for the RMA info after the fact like, yeah, let me help you out when you aren't willing to do shit for me.

Like I said, fuck him. He could have done more to be more customer centric and didn't, didn't even care. Maybe I care more about the people I do business with and my self-respect and honor but he clearly doesn't so I in return don't care. I'll take the moral hit but even then I don't consider myself in the wrong.

All this drama over a broken video card? Seller didn’t do anything wrong, you didn’t do anything wrong (besides plan to abuse the RMA), just bad luck. I’m 100% with the seller tho, whoever the eBay system tells him to ship it to, wins. Be an adult and get over it. Also, thanks for making the RMA process harder for the rest of us.

Explain this. I don't see how me applying for and getting an RMA like anything else makes anything harder for you. Just because I didn't originally buy the card I don't get how that should affect me, some GPU manufacturers even allow transferring of warranties...he hadn't even registered it and was selling it!

Also, had eBay not been a fuck up it would have told him to ship to me. It even gave me an estimated shipping date. Also, the fact that he was unwilling to even try to help me out means I stopped giving a hoot. Why should I care what happens to him if he doesn't care what happened to me? This isn't someone starving to death or a child being beat, I'm under no moral obligation to give a shit about this person. Tit for tat.

The fact you'd side with someone like that says a lot. I know I certainly wouldn't want to do business with someone that thinks this is OK. Put yourself in my shoes and tell me you'd just shrug off getting screwed over with no help whatsoever from the person you tried giving $200 to. Again, had I been the seller you damn straight I'd do what I could to make the wrong into a right. Why should I care? Seriously.

Anyways, I'm still upset but over it. I have a 1070Ti coming my way now.

That's an ebay problem, not a seller problem, since its completely out of the seller's control.

I think it is once it's brought to their attention and they have the power and ability to do something about it. I would. If you wouldn't that's on you and kinda shitty.

I don't really get what the problem is, honestly. I bought something, I registered it, site fucked up for whatever reason, I told seller what happened, they didn't give a shit and wouldn't help at all despite me keeping them fully updated on the situation, I'm the asshole because I won't help them and registered the GPU I bought? What's going on with the mentality here?

Probably mess up seller protection. I would have to,d you the same. Bitch at eBay, the sellers are at their mercy and it’s not worth getting scammed over.

Probably going to deny rma anyway, or dude would have done it himself.

This doesn't make sense.

Cool. That's nice of you and totally fair.

Whose getting scammed? And what am I bitching at eBay for? That the seller won't honor his first buyer?

Probably going to deny rma anyway, or dude would have done it himself.

Nope, he didn't think of it, that's why he wanted the RMA info I had. RMA was already approved 100%, all I had to do was sent it in the moment I got it.

You don't sound entitled at all.

There is zero reason for a seller to cancel a legit sale just because you had technical problems trying to buy it. None. He gains nothing, and actually his seller level would get dinged for cancelling a legit sale, and the buyer could hit him with neg feedback. It's also a creep move to register someone else's GPU for an RMA before even having it in your hands, nevermind abusing the RMA system. It's not there for third parties to try to buy broken GPU's to try to get new ones.

lol, the most ridiculous buyer I've seen on the internet.
This is why we cover up the serial in photos.

That guy is upset because instant karma blocked his RMA scam.
Hopefully EVGA has his name/address on file so when the rightful person claims it, it can track back to him.

If he is smart, he would cancel that RMA asap before things get worse.

Yeah, I bought a bad GPU with the intent on getting it fixed because the seller didn't. What a scammy piece of shit I am. Lol you people are ridiculous.

Dude, reply after reply you just sound like a spoiled child. Shit happens, plenty of people have gotten the shaft on an auction or item going out of stock due network/hardware/software glitches. Grow up and please stop trying to justify your selfish behavior.

And yet you can't say why I'm acting spoiled because I want what I paid for or why it's selfish when the seller did nothing to help me. Glad you aren't in the business.

Jesus for fuck sakes you are pissed. what did you lose at the end? Tell me that, time? You clearly have no idea how strict ebay is for sellers. Clearly your payment didn't through. If your payment did you could do a claim. You are not out anything, you are just pissed. While the seller will get screwed with negative feedback. If you paid for item and seller got payment and then didn't honor you could do a claim. You are mad because you lost a chance at getting a card for 200 that cost 600 that is why you already did RMA. A sane person never does an RMA without having the item shipped.

I understand you didn't get a good deal. I keep telling you seller at the end will be screwed because of ebay mess up or whatever happened. IF you were that understanding you would have let go. Clearly you cant see clearly. If this happened to me I would have let it go as a mistake and gotten over it. Because I know how sellers have to follow strict rules and how valuable feedback is for them.

This is nothing new it happens. Stop complaining and get over it, if got shafted 200 bucks and seller got double profit on it and wasn't refunding you it would be a different story. Being mad at the seller for not canceling the other buyers order and satisfying you is not what he is there for.

You are treating this like a retailer. Majority of Sellers on ebay aren't retailers with multiple items. You are making it seem like he intentionally did this to you. he didn't, you should bitch to ebay not to the seller. Seller is doing what he should do follow the rule and send it to the first person who made payment.

I am generally a nice guy. But I have had this happen to me where I lowered price for someone else but someone else grabbed it. But I never had a buyer bitch at me like you are bitching. People that have experience on ebay understand it, it happens. Buyer is going to honor whoever he sees on his end, first payment and who bought it. You can keep wasting your time.

LOL, you were expecting way too much. But you got nothing, thats why you are mad. Heck I have never heard of anyone doing an RMA on something even before they had the card.

Then he's definitely a moron. But still, eBay is hell bent on destroying sellers for the smallest of things. I can't blame him for not cancelling another auction because their site was broken. Has bad idea written all over it.
